A typical summer Wednesday at Kissapuu.

Today, our cat trees are heading to their new homes in Finland, France and Switzerland. A few smaller orders are also on their way to the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany.

Half the summer is already behind us. But there’s still plenty of time to make it a good one - for you, your home, and your cat.

The favourite spot always gets taken first. 😸

Many cats are instinctively drawn to natural materials. Modern feline research shows that sensory variety - natural scents, soft resting surfaces and different tactile experiences - plays an important role in reducing stress and improving wellbeing, especially for indoor cats. Natural fur provides exactly the kind of sensory richness that synthetic materials simply cannot replicate.

So it is hardly surprising that so many cats immediately fall in love with our natural hair-on goat skins.

We source them from a small Finnish organic dairy known for its traditional cow and goat cheeses, sustainable agriculture and deep respect for animal welfare. The goats live long, natural lives, grazing freely on Finnish pasturelands that help maintain local biodiversity. They are never raised for meat or hides.

The hides are traditionally processed in Estonia. After tanning, each hide is personally selected by us with exceptional care. We inspect texture, softness, fur quality and appearance before every piece is brushed, prepared and checked once again before reaching our customers.

Our hair-on goat skins are perfectly sized for our double perch level, but also work beautifully on sofas, shelves, window spots, benches or simply as a favourite sleeping place on the floor. And because every goat is unique, no two hides are ever exactly alike.

Most colours are available directly from stock on our website. However, new batches tend to disappear surprisingly fast - sometimes entire arrivals are sold out through pre-orders before they even reach public sale. So if your preferred colour is currently unavailable, simply send us a message and we will do our best to arrange a hide matching your wishes.

Please keep in mind that our hair-on goat skins are completely natural products and, in very rare cases, may cause allergic reactions in cats prone to allergies.

Cats need more than just four walls! 🐾

Safe outdoor walks provide activity and mental stimulation that indoor life simply cannot fully replace - especially for curious indoor cats living in city apartments. That is why more and more behaviour experts recommend safe, controlled outdoor experiences as part of a balanced life for pets. And that is exactly why we offer harnesses and leashes made by Lavellas in our accessory collection.

Every Lavellas product is handmade in Finland by a small independent maker specialising in equipment for cats and other small pets since 2014. The harnesses are lightweight, thoughtfully designed and made specifically for comfortable everyday outdoor adventures.

Harnesses are available in two sizes:
M for cats weighing approximately 2–5 kg;
L for cats weighing approximately 4–8 kg.

Leashes are 3 metres long.

Both harnesses and leashes are available in specially developed bright colours - blue, pink and orange - designed to stay visible outdoors. For extra visibility during darker evenings, we also recommend adding a small flashing safety light, also available in our store.

Everything is in stock and ready to ship.

And don’t forget: when you buy the harness and leash set together, you save a little compared to purchasing them separately.
