What has my dog taught me?
1. Patience. Dear dog, tantrum does not work, sit on your bottom and get what you want. Developing dog’s self-control upgraded my patience well.
2. Tolerance to frustration. A trainee might choose a different way. Walking might be broken at the very beginning because someone slammed a door far away. My dog does not care about my plans.
3. Get fun from small things. Puddles, mud, fresh rabbit ”cocoa puffs”, harnessless motion, all of it is very cool and funny. Things like politics, work, money, ecological crisis do not matter. It would be nice to be like a dog sometimes.
4. Did you survive today? It’s enough. See point 3.
5. Resilience. Snowstorm, icy streets, flu, apathy – be kind, get the leash and go outside. With a dog, of course. Broken leg? Well, the second one is ok! :))
6. Everyone is worthy of love. You need to be neither perfect nor special. You can be completely bonkers, street-born mongrel, great troublemaker – and still be loved.
