Diary of a K9 Tenerife Dogwalker To create awareness and help find homes for the many abandoned dogs at K9 animal refuge in Tenerife. That way we will reach more people. Thank you.

I am a volunteer dogwalker for K9 Animal Refuge here in Tenerife, taking videos and photos of the dogs (and myself and other dogwalkers occasionally!), hoping that by creating this FB page it will help to find homes for the many homeless dogs at this refuge. The dogs absolutely love going to MASCOTS pool during the summer months. This is such a treat for them.

My first time out walking with this new girl 💛Queenie💛. She was found abandoned a few weeks ago and as no one has come for her, she is now up for adoption.

A young friendly girl of medium size who walks nicely on lead. If you would like to meet her, pop by the Refuge any day between the hours of 10.30 and 1pm.

Sitting in with 💚Lulu💚 and 🧡Rocky🧡after our walk today. Rocky is the small, happy boy, and Lulu is a sweet poddie girl. Both recently came from a home—no fault of their own—because their owners became unwell.

Rocky is affectionate and loveable, Lulu's tentative shyness is a natural response to change and uncertainty. She walked well with me though, despite her initial shyness. I do like to spend a little extra time with the more nervous dogs in their kennels, as I know it’s tough for them to walk with new strangers every day.

If you'd like to meet them, feel free to drop by the Refuge, any day of the week between 10:30 and 13:00.
