Official statement — Galican in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧

Galican Sport announces the end of its distribution agreement with Heath Green (Galican UK), effective immediately. Heath Green is no longer an authorised Galican distributor and will cease to operate under the Galican name.

Wir bei Galican waren es, die die meisten Sicherheitsverbesserungen im Agility der letzten 15 Jahre entwickelt haben: die Soft-Mauer und den Soft-Weitsprung, die Kunststoff-Bar-Holder, den Reifen ohne Gestell, die Kontaktzonen mit Soft-Oberfläche, die Safe Bar… und vieles mehr. Aber wir machen weiter und hören nie auf, denn wir sind Erfinder und das ist, was wir lieben: Verbesserungen für dich und deinen Hund zu entwickeln.

Heute möchten wir euch eine Innovation zeigen, die sich noch in der Prototypenphase befindet — und euch um eure Meinung bitten.

Es ist eine Idee, die wir seit Jahren haben, die wir aber auf Eis gelegt hatten, weil sie nicht richtig funktionierte. Dieses neueste Design hingegen scheint zu funktionieren: Zumindest in den ersten Tests sieht es sehr vielversprechend aus. Ein Safe-Bar-Holder, der auf dem gesamten Parcours eingesetzt werden könnte.

Er ist nicht nur aus Kunststoff und schützt den Bar Holder selbst vor den härtesten Stößen, sondern schützt auch den Hund, wenn er auf die Stange fällt. Das Ergebnis: Der Hund wäre bei jedem Sprung geschützt, nicht nur bei Doppelsprüngen wie bisher mit der Safe Bar.

En Galican fuimos quienes desarrollamos la mayoría de las mejoras en seguridad del agility de los últimos 15 años: el muro y el long jump Soft, los bar holders de plástico, el aro sin estructura, las zonas de contacto con superficie Soft, el safe bar… y más cosas. Pero seguimos, y no paramos nunca, porque somos inventores y esto es lo que nos gusta: desarrollar mejoras para ti y para tu perro.

Hoy queremos enseñaros una innovación que todavía está en fase de prototipo — y pediros vuestra opinión.

Es una idea que tenemos desde hace años, pero que habíamos aparcado porque no acababa de funcionar bien. Este último diseño, sin embargo, sí parece funcionar: al menos en los primeros tests, pinta muy bien. Un safe bar holder que se podría usar en toda la pista.

Además de ser de plástico y proteger el propio bar holder de los peores golpes, también protege al perro cuando cae sobre el palo. El resultado: el perro estaría protegido en todos los saltos, no solo en los dobles como hasta ahora con el safe bar.

Chez Galican, c'est nous qui avons développé la plupart des avancées en sécurité de l'agility de ces 15 dernières années : le mur et le long jump Soft, les bar holders en plastique, le pneu sans structure, les zones de contact à surface Soft, le safe bar… et bien plus. Mais nous continuons, et nous ne nous arrêtons jamais, parce que nous sommes des inventeurs et que c'est ce que nous aimons : développer des améliorations pour vous et votre chien.

Aujourd'hui, nous voulons vous présenter une innovation encore en phase de prototype — et vous demander votre avis.

C'est une idée que nous avons depuis des années, mais que nous avions mise de côté parce qu'elle ne fonctionnait pas tout à fait. Ce dernier design, en revanche, semble fonctionner : du moins, les premiers tests sont très prometteurs. Un safe bar holder qui pourrait s'utiliser sur tout le parcours.

En plus d'être en plastique et de protéger le bar holder lui-même des pires chocs, il protège aussi le chien lorsqu'il retombe sur la barre. Résultat : le chien serait protégé sur tous les sauts, pas seulement sur les sauts doubles comme aujourd'hui avec le safe bar.

At Galican, we were the ones who developed most of the safety improvements in agility over the last 15 years: the Soft wall and long jump, the plastic bar holders, the frameless tyre jump, the contact obstacles with Soft surface, the safe bar… and more. But we keep going, and we never stop, because we are inventors and this is what we love: developing improvements for you and your dog.

Today we want to show you an innovation that is still in the prototype phase — and ask for your opinion.

It's an idea we've had for years, but we had shelved it because it just didn't work well. This latest design, however, does seem to work: at least in the first tests, it looks very promising. A safe bar holder that could be used all over the course.

Besides being made of plastic and protecting the bar holder itself from the hardest hits, it also protects the dog when it lands on the bar. The result: the dog would be protected on every jump, not just on spread jumps as it is today with the safe bar.
