🌍🦠 جامعة بدر بالقاهره تقود جهود الاستعداد الوطني لمواجهة التهديدات الفيروسيه الناشئه وفق نهج الصحه الواحده
🎯في إطار الدور الريادي لجامعة بدر بالقاهرة في دعم منظومة الصحة الواحدة (One Health) وتعزيز الأمن الصحي القومي، نظم المركز الدولي للصحة الواحدة بجامعة بدر بالقاهرة، بالتعاون مع النقابة العامة للأطباء البيطريين بمصر، ورشة العمل الدولية بعنوان:
"التهديدات الفيروسية الناشئة ذات الأصل الحيواني في مصر: استراتيجيات الاستجابة لفيروسي الإيبولا وهانتا"
وذلك تحت الرعاية الكريمة لمعالي الأستاذ الدكتور خالد عبد الغفار وزير الصحة والسكان، ومعالي الأستاذ الدكتور عبد العزيز قنصوة وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، وبمشاركة نخبة من القيادات الأكاديمية والصحية والخبراء الدوليين، في خطوة تعكس التكامل بين المؤسسات الأكاديمية والجهات الحكومية والمنظمات الدولية لتعزيز جاهزية الدولة في مواجهة الأمراض الوبائية الناشئة.
افتُتحت فعاليات الورشة بكلمات لكل من:
🔹 الأستاذ الدكتور عادل عبد الخالق – عميد كلية الطب البيطري بجامعة بدر بالقاهرة.
🔹 الأستاذ الدكتور مجدي حسن – نقيب الأطباء البيطريين. 🔹 الأستاذ الدكتور محمد لطيف – رئيس المجلس الصحي. 🔹 الأستاذ الدكتور أشرف الشيحي – رئيس جامعة بدر بالقاهرة.
🔹 الأستاذ الدكتور حسن القلا – رئيس مجلس أمناء جامعة بدر بالقاهرة.
كما ألقى معالي الأستاذ الدكتور خالد عبد الغفار، وزير الصحة والسكان، كلمة أكد خلالها أهمية التكامل بين القطاعين الطبي والبيطري، ودعم البحث العلمي، وتعزيز قدرات المختبرات المتنقلة كأحد أهم أدوات الاستجابة السريعة لبؤر التفشي، مشددًا على ضرورة مواجهة مقاومة مضادات الميكروبات (AMR) باعتبارها أحد أكبر التحديات الصحية العالمية.
وأكد الأستاذ الدكتور مجدي حسن، نقيب الأطباء البيطريين، أن الطبيب البيطري يمثل خط الدفاع الأول عن الأمن الصحي القومي، وأن دوره في التقصي الوبائي والاكتشاف المبكر للأمراض الحيوانية المنشأ يعد حجر الأساس في منع انتقال الأمراض إلى الإنسان وحماية المجتمع.
وشهدت الورشة جلسات علمية ثرية قدمها نخبة من الخبراء، حيث استعرض:
🔹 الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد عبد الواحد – رئيس قسم صحة الحيوان والصحة الواحدة بجامعة لايبزيغ – ألمانيا، أحدث الاستراتيجيات العالمية للاستعداد والاستجابة للأمراض الفيروسية الناشئة، وتقنيات التشخيص الجزيئي السريع باستخدام المختبرات المتنقلة وتقنية RAA.
🔹 الدكتورة هبة محروس – ممثلة منظمة الصحة العالمية (WHO)، رؤية المنظمة لدعم قدرات الدول في مواجهة الأوبئة، وأهمية تطبيق نهج الصحة الواحدة وإنشاء شبكات إنذار مبكر لرصد الأمراض المشتركة.
🔹 الدكتور عبد الرحمن بلال – ممثل وزارة الصحة والسكان، جهود الدولة المصرية في تعزيز منظومة الترصد الوبائي والاستجابة السريعة للأمراض الناشئة.
🔹 كما شارك الدكتور أحمد سعد، خبير صحة الحيوان والصحة الواحدة بمنظمة الفاو (FAO)، نائبًا عن الدكتور عبد الحكيم الواعر، مستعرضًا دور المنظمة في دعم برامج الصحة الواحدة وتعزيز التعاون الإقليمي في مجال الوقاية من الأمراض الحيوانية المنشأ.
كما شهدت الورشة مشاركة دولية متميزة من خبراء معهد باستير – داكار (السنغال) وتحالف CEPI ومنظمة الصحة العالمية، حيث تناولت الجلسات العلمية أحدث المستجدات المتعلقة بفيروسي الإيبولا والهانتا، وآليات انتقال الأمراض المشتركة (Spillover)، والمراقبة الجينومية، واستراتيجيات الاستجابة السريعة، إضافة إلى استعراض مبادرة تطوير لقاحات فعالة خلال 100 يوم من ظهور أي وباء جديد.
وتضمنت الفعاليات تدريبًا عمليًا ومحاكاة حية لتشغيل حقيبة المختبر المتنقل، أتاح للمشاركين التعرف على أحدث تقنيات التشخيص الميداني وإدارة العينات البيولوجية وفق أعلى معايير السلامة الحيوية.
واختُتمت الورشة بعقد جلسة نقاشية (Panel Discussion) عبر تقنية Zoom، بمشاركة نخبة من الخبراء الدوليين من ألمانيا والسنغال ومنظمات الصحة العالمية، لمناقشة آليات تعزيز التعاون الدولي، ودعم قدرات المختبرات المتنقلة، وتبادل الخبرات العلمية لمواجهة التهديدات الصحية المستقبلية.
وشهدت الورشة حضورًا متميزًا من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة والباحثين وطلاب كلية الطب البيطري بجامعة بدر بالقاهرة، إلى جانب الأطباء البيطريين والأطباء البشريين وممثلي الوزارات والهيئات الصحية والمنظمات الدولية، في تجسيد حقيقي لمفهوم الصحة الواحدة، الذي يجمع بين صحة الإنسان والحيوان والبيئة في منظومة متكاملة لحماية الأمن الصحي.
واختُتمت الورشة برسالة واضحة تؤكد أن الاستعداد المبكر، والتقصي الوبائي، والتعاون بين مختلف القطاعات، هو السبيل الأمثل لحماية الأمن الصحي القومي، وأن الطبيب البيطري يمثل أحد أهم ركائز منظومة الوقاية، باعتباره خط الدفاع الأول في مواجهة الأمراض الحيوانية المنشأ.

🌍🦠 Badr University in Cairo Leads National Preparedness Efforts Against Emerging Viral Threats Through the One Health Approach
🎯 As part of its leading role in advancing the One Health approach and strengthening national health security, the International Center for One Health at Badr University in Cairo (BUC), in collaboration with the Egyptian Veterinary Syndicate, organized the international workshop entitled:
"Emerging Zoonotic Viral Threats in Egypt: Response Strategies for Ebola and Hantavirus"
The workshop was held under the esteemed patronage of H.E. Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and H.E. Prof. Abd Elaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of distinguished academic leaders, public health officials, and international experts. The event reflected the strong collaboration between academic institutions, governmental bodies, and international organizations to enhance Egypt's preparedness for emerging infectious diseases.
The workshop commenced with opening remarks delivered by:
🔹 Prof. Adel Abdel Khalek – Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Badr University in Cairo.
🔹 Prof. Magdy Hassan – President of the Egyptian Veterinary Syndicate.
🔹 Prof. Mohamed Lotfy – Chairman of the Egyptian Health Council.
🔹 Prof. Ashraf El-Shehhi – President, Badr University in Cairo.
🔹 Prof. Hassan El-Qalla – Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Badr University in Cairo.
During his keynote address, H.E. Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, emphasized the importance of integration between the human and veterinary health sectors, strengthening scientific research, and expanding the capacity of mobile laboratories as a critical tool for rapid outbreak response. He also highlighted antimicrobial resistance (AMR) as one of the most pressing global public health challenges.
Prof. Magdy Hassan, President of the Egyptian Veterinary Syndicate, stressed that veterinarians represent the first line of defense for national health security. He emphasized that their role in disease surveillance and the early detection of zoonotic diseases is fundamental to preventing disease transmission to humans and safeguarding public health.
The scientific program featured presentations by leading national and international experts, including:
🔹 Prof. Ahmed Abdel Wahed – Head of the Department of Animal Health and One Health, Leipzig University, Germany, who presented the latest global strategies for preparedness and response to emerging viral diseases, as well as rapid molecular diagnostic technologies using mobile laboratories and Recombinase-Aided Amplification (RAA).
🔹 Dr. Heba Mahrous – Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), who highlighted WHO's vision for strengthening national epidemic preparedness, promoting the One Health approach, and establishing early warning networks for zoonotic disease surveillance.
🔹 Dr. Abdelrahman Bilal – Representative of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, who reviewed Egypt's ongoing efforts to strengthen epidemiological surveillance systems and rapid response mechanisms for emerging infectious diseases.
🔹 Dr. Ahmed Saad, Animal Health and One Health Expert at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), representing Dr. Abdulhakim Elwaer, presented FAO's role in supporting One Health programs and enhancing regional cooperation in the prevention of zoonotic diseases.
The workshop also featured distinguished international participation from experts representing the Institut Pasteur Dakar (Senegal), CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations), and the World Health Organization. Scientific sessions addressed the latest developments regarding Ebola and Hantaviruses, spillover mechanisms, genomic surveillance, rapid response strategies, and the global 100 Days Mission initiative aimed at developing effective vaccines within 100 days of the emergence of a new pandemic threat.
Participants also attended a hands-on practical training session and live simulation demonstrating the operation of a mobile laboratory kit, providing practical experience with state-of-the-art field diagnostic technologies and the safe handling of biological samples in accordance with international biosafety standards.
The workshop concluded with an international Panel Discussion, conducted via Zoom, bringing together experts from Germany, Senegal, and leading international health organizations to discuss strategies for strengthening international collaboration, expanding mobile laboratory capabilities, and promoting scientific knowledge exchange to address future global health threats.
The event was attended by faculty members, teaching assistants, researchers, and students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Badr University in Cairo, alongside veterinarians, physicians, representatives of governmental ministries, health authorities, and international organizations. The diverse participation embodied the true spirit of the One Health concept, integrating human, animal, and environmental health into a unified framework for protecting national and global health security.
The workshop concluded with a clear message that early preparedness, effective epidemiological surveillance, and cross-sector collaboration are essential for safeguarding national health security. It also reaffirmed the indispensable role of veterinarians as a cornerstone of disease prevention and the first line of defense against zoonotic diseases.
