Sometimes it seems to me that people can't get enough. It just wasn't enough to create all these great breeds, you have to do it again. Often, however, not even both ears are standing. With Lou, everything is natural and that's a good thing. I think it looks so cute how differently his ears stick out - my ears aren't both the same or had to be put back.

Even in a hotel or restaurant, it is important to have your four-legged friend under control and to get your dog used to the surrounding noises, elevators, crowds, passing staff, smells from meals and so much more at the right stage. Cuba was with me for 5 days this week at the hotel, at work and in various restaurants and was very happy with me.

Just yesterday we were in a vineyard and spent a long time looking for a ball that was almost impossible to find. We crossed the vines hundreds of times. Suddenly, a family appeared on the viewing platform above us. At first everything was quiet, but then a child called out to my Cuba. Cuba doesn't usually listen to other people, but she makes an exception for children. In a situation like this, you can either sit on the edge of your seat and panic and call after the dog umpteen times, or simply try to make yourself more interesting than the child appears to be in the situation and everything turns out well - this anchor is a bit of a boomerang

Sometimes it is very foggy and destinations seem almost unreachable. Then the fog clears again and you can see more clearly. With dogs, you simply need patience, discipline and the ability to admit mistakes and learn from them. You should always ask yourself what you could do to change the situation for the better - not what the dog could do. This keeps you grounded and calm in situations where it matters. My Harun couldn't find his ball today after a long session of training, playing and having fun. Although dogs are designed not to stop hunting too early when they get frustrated, my Harun gave up quite early today. Nevertheless, I stayed calm and helped my dog with the search. After an hour, he found the ball himself in the vineyard. I was so proud at that moment. Some things just take time and we should give everyone the chance to develop.

You should never be intimidated by something on the outside without checking to see if there is a soft core, a good soul or a hurt child on the inside. I also have this problem with my Dobermans, that people have a certain image of what the dog is like, based on its exterior. But I'll tell you one thing, as long as people can't read my wishes from my eyes, they won't know how my dogs behave. We simply have to learn to be more impartial.
