My name is Melanie. After studying business administration and several other positions, I have been a passionate holistic veterinary practitioner for 6 years. In 2024 I was in the seminar at DogRisk. A great team . I have been part of the working group for omega 3 and fatty acid analyses for almost a year.
The working group is a team of animal therapists, vets and animal nutritionists who are working on an observational study. In this observational study we work with the fatty acid analysis of the company Zinzino (Balance Test), which is analysed in the independent laboratory VITAS in Oslo.
The observational study is intended to record and document the connection between the use of a high-quality omega-3 oil and the accompanying fatty acid analyses and the existing disease symptoms.
The question of how the omega 3 index and other indicators of the dry blood test behave remains exciting.
We ask ourselves these and other exciting questions and discuss them in our working group after discussing cases.

We are also very pleased and excited to announce that we will have a special guest this time: Dr Anna Hielm-Björkman (DVM, PhD) and Sarah Holm (veterinarian and PhD) from DogRisk in our working group.
Dr Anna Hielm-Björkman has been leading the DogRisk research group at the University of Helsinki for 15 years. They work mainly with dogs, but also with humans, cats and horses. Dr Anna focuses much of her work on canine nutrition, epidemiology and omics.

It will therefore certainly be a very special Zoom, in which we will have an interpreter with us. She will translate into English. This means that experts from other languages can also be invited.
So it will be unique and incredibly exciting.
