The technicolour Towner in Eastbourne, just next door to where you’ll find candles and cushions today alongside lots of other designers and makers in the welcome building.

Like Miss Havisham sitting too close to the fire, Pelham Crescent sits precariously beneath the West Hill cliffs. With St.Mary in the Castle at its centre. A crumbling 200 year old edifice, and no doubt a shadow of its former elegant self, it is still a thing of beauty, desperately in need of funds to bring it back to life as the undoubted star of Hastings’ seafront.

*Park Update*

Contrary to the announcement the day before yesterday (April 1st), the dinosaurs are not being painted in Crystal Palace team colours! Maybe that’s a disappointment to some, but I’m loving the tonal variation now visible on the Iguanadons and Megalosaur. They look less extinct by the day!
Elsewhere the orange fences have come down around the new playground, which is proving to be hugely popular. Can’t help but feel sorry for the old playground!
And work on the Italian Terraces continues apace. Shouldn’t be too long before the fences retreat from this part of the park too!
