2nd SHINBOKUTEN - AKIHO Europe is proud to announce the 2nd Shinbokuten, set to take place on 11-12 April 2026 in Torino, Italy.

Shinbokuten, combining the kanji for “friendship” and “exhibition”, is a special event organised by AKIHO Europe, held separately from the official exhibitions of Akita Inu Hozonkai Headquarters, with the aim of fostering friendship, learning, and exchange among AKIHO overseas members.

The event offers an opportunity to deepen understanding of the Akita Inu, with guidance and explanations provided by MATSUSHIMA Seiji, AKIHO Kansai Main Branch Director and former AKIHO Vice President, serving as instructor for this study-oriented program.

Further details will be shared in due course. In the meantime, spread the word: Japan Returns to Europe!

🇯🇵 KIMOTO KAZUO – AKIHO Judge & Director of the AKIHO Examination Department.
A lifelong AKIHO member since 1974, Mr. Kimoto is now the 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 in the AKIHO. His knowledge and dedication to the breed are respected all over the world.

🇯🇵 ŌTSU KENTARŌ – AKIHO Judge
A professional dog groomer with experience in Japan and Australia. He has been an official judge since 2022. He brings fresh energy and a sharp eye for quality.

THE NEXT EIYOSHOU?!? - In a little more than two weeks from now, the 11th European Hozonkai Championship will take place in Torino, Italy. After Tora Ishii and Kurozane, we are eager to find out if any new Eiyoshou will be awarded. 🎖️

We opened new season at the 3nd Specialty Show in Feilbingert on March 24th 🐾

• HIMESHIRATSUYU GO FUEN NO OKA became BEST OF BREED | BEST FEMALE and NAHE WINNER 2024 under Mr. Henning Schenk (Ger)! I would like to thank the judge for appreciating our dogs and for his kind words ✧⁠*⁠。

• BIJUTSU GO FUTATSU NO OMAMORI • 9 months old | Junior class exc 2 | res.J - CAC | For our cheeky "Tsutsu" it was the very first show experience and unfortunately she did not behaved well, this spoiled little beauty needs more training and less mummy cuddles 🤭♡

Super compliments to Bijutsu's sister BENZAITEN GO FUTATSU NO OMAMORI - Benten's performance at the Junior Class and her 2th appearance to the public won the BEST JUNIOR | J - CAC | NAHE JUNIOR WINNER 2024 !
