Rin Tin Tin was a German Shepherd who was rescued from a French battlefield during World War I by American soldier, Lee Duncan. Upon returning home to the U.S., Duncan trained Rin Tin Tin to star in Hollywood films. 🎬
His breakout role was in the 1923 film, Where the North Begins. 🤩

We all know heroic, but tragic story of Laika – the first dog to orbit the space, but do you know the story about the first dogs that returned safely to Earth after traveling to space?

This two dogs have spent a day in space aboard Korabl-Sputnik 2 (Sputnik 5) on 19th August 1960 before safely returning to Earth. They were accompanied by a grey rabbit, 42 mice, two rats, flies and several plants and fungi. All passengers survived.

After their amazing space expedition, one of this dogs and her offspring continued to have quite exciting romantic life, worth a good movie we would say 😉

The Chicago Picasso is an untitled monumental sculpture by Pablo Picasso in Chicago, Illinois. The sculpture, dedicated on August 15, 1967, in Daley Plaza in the Chicago Loop, is 15.2 m tall and weighs 147 tons. The Cubist sculpture by Picasso was the first such major public artwork in Downtown Chicago, and has become a well-known landmark.

Publicly accessible, it is known for its inviting jungle gym-like characteristics. Visitors to Daley Plaza can often be seen climbing on and sliding down the base of the sculpture.

Picasso never officially explained what the sculpture was intended to represent, but among possible explanations is one breed of dog.
