Five intensive days of learning, practice, and inspiration in Shenzhen have come to a successful close. Module 1: Echocardiography brought together veterinarians from different regions to deepen their skills in canine and feline cardiac ultrasound.

The learning journey continued in Shenzhen with two intensive days of advanced echocardiography training led by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗕𝗼𝘇.

A key highlight of Day 3 and Day 4 was the 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻—designed to strengthen precision, consistency, and confidence in daily echocardiographic practice.

Participants worked in small groups, performed repeated measurements on the same canine patient, including left ventricle M-mode, aortic and pulmonary annuli, and apical four-chamber area/length assessments.

By comparing their results with expert reference data, participants learned how to improve precision, consistency, and confidence in clinical echocardiography.

A valuable hands-on experience for better diagnosis and patient care.

𝗠𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝟭: 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 has successfully started in Shenzhen, bringing together veterinarians eager to advance their cardiology imaging skills.

Led by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗕𝗼𝘇, the first two days focused on building a strong foundation in canine and feline echocardiography. Participants explored ultrasound physics, equipment selection, imaging modalities, echocardiography lab organization, reporting systems, and PACS applications.

Hands-on learning continued with complete echocardiographic examinations, including machine settings, patient preparation, standard B-Mode and M-Mode views, Doppler blood flow assessment, and myocardial Doppler spectra.

Day 2 moved deeper into echocardiographic measurements, reference values, and the interpretation of systolic and diastolic dysfunction through real clinical examples—followed by practical sessions where participants applied these concepts directly under expert guidance.
