After 6 weeks of bird hunting it was time to change gears for a bit. Time to get some time in rainbow trout fishing in. Chilly but nothing like late fall fishing. 🙂

Long morning. 102 birds later we got caught having a little snooze 😆. Nothing like a man and his dog.

Looks like we have a few birds for the morning 🙂

When a 20 gauge maybe too much lol. Little graphic as a duck looses his head.

It’s been a stellar year birding so far and probably one of the best seasons in past decade. Birds a plenty, great memories and great dog work. Best yet to come as new birds migrate thru

Took 43 min this morning to finish off double limits of ducks and geese. Could have had dbl the guys to finish in same amount of time. Loving it!! Carbon deserves her afternoon nap! Cinder now on sidelines due to being in heat. Urghhhh

It’s been a long time between posts. Still waiting for summer lol

It’s already been an amazing first couple weeks water-fowling. And it’s just begun. Life is good! Hopefully now the farmers can make some progress harvesting with this warm weather finally. Bring on the migration!

Congratulations are in order for Daryl and BlackMagic Yippee Kai Aye, known as Kai (Cinder/Wham breeding), on their first-ever hunt test. Daryl Payne

It was a challenging day for participants/ judges with this ugly Alberta weather that was relentless today. Well earned and deserved

BlackMagic Betting on Black, call name Wager. 13 week old running site blinds. He has never seen this blind or run it prior, fact of looking out searching for the white bucket and do it confidently, solid focus and quick learner, impressive! Going to be a fun spring, nicely done :)
