Holly said she’s almost ready to be done 😆
She still gives her puppies baths and spends time with them, but we take our cues from her as to how often. Moms need an escape rout at this stage or can become overwhelmed by the constant demands of their puppies, and when they’re pushed too far it’s not healthy for mom or the babies.
This is the stage when puppies naturally start venturing out of the nest, being more curious about their surroundings, and spending time with other members of their pack so their mom’s milk supply can gradually decrease. She often distances herself more at this stage, and the other pack members step in to continue socializing. We’re lucky to have good Aunties, Cousins, and Grandma Ivy here to help, they love the babies 💕
