Painting for Paws Painting for Paws is a not-for-profit project. It is aimed at raising money for animal shelters and fundraisers across BC. Painting for Paws was founded in 2011.

It is aimed at raising money for animal shelters across BC and has so far raised $1,600 to the SPCA and over $4000 (and counting) to Turtle Gardens as well as raised money through silent auctions for the ME TO WE Club to build schools in Africa and for the Vancouver Hospice Society. Jessica Beddis, a 14 year old artist, began painting pictures at a very young age and thereby discovered her passion

for art. In the Spring of 2011, she held her own art exhibition at the Silk Purse Gallery in West Vancouver where she sold all of her paintings before the end of the show. She donated all of the proceeds to the SPCA. Since then, Jessica has been commissioned to paint pictures of pets and has donated all profits to multiple organizations as mentioned above. (Turtle Gardens, ME TO WE Club, SPCA, Vancouver Hospice Society). Please feel free to browse through the pictures painted by Jessica, and if you would like one done of your pet, please contact us at: [email protected]

Jessica will be participating in the silent auction by offering to paint portraits of the 5 winning bidders dog and/or cat. Samples of Jessica's paintings will be on display at the event, showing a selection of her previous works. It will be very impressive, not even considering the fact that Jessica is 14 years old. All proceeds will go to Turtle Gardens. It is Jessica's wish that people bid as much as they can so that she can further support Turtle Garden's mission.
