When Benji came to Toronto Cat Rescue, he was in pain and needed specialized care. For months, despite treatment, diet changes, and multiple foster homes, he continued to scratch himself raw. It took time, specialist support, and the right medication plan before the pain finally stopped.

Once it did, Benji’s true personality came shining through — affectionate, curious, and full of energy. After 7 months in our care, he finally found a home that understands his needs, complete with a feline best friend to keep up with him.

Benji’s journey wasn’t easy or inexpensive, but we never turned him away. He’s one of many cats who get a second chance because someone chooses to help.

As the year comes to a close, your gift, now being matched up to $14,500, helps us keep saying yes to cats like Benji who need time, care, and patience to heal! Donate today to help us give every cat like Benji the second chance they need: https://ow.ly/861Q50XMUJo 🐾

Meet Hopper, a two-year-old flame point Siamese with bright eyes, soft chirps, and an endless love of belly rubs. Everyone falls for him right away. But Hopper lives with severe orthopedic deformities that have left him in chronic pain and made walking difficult.

The surgery he needs, a complex procedure never before performed in TCR history, will cost around $15,000 and require months of recovery. It’s a big undertaking, but it offers Hopper the priceless chance to live without pain.

This End of Year, we’re raising funds for cats like Hopper. Five generous matching donors are doubling donations up to $14,500, making $29,000 as we work toward our $75,000 goal. With your help and their support, we can give cats like Hopper a strong start in the new year.

This holiday season, you can create your very own TCR fundraising page, and invite friends and family to donate in your honour instead of giving gifts!

There are so many ways you can help rescue cats from abuse, neglect, or abandonment, and personal fundraisers have been created by members of our community to mark birthdays, celebrate milestones or simply spread kindness.

Our team is only a phone call away and here to help you hit your goal. We’ll also help you get the word out with resource packs and tips to keep your fundraiser moving.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back this season, you're more than welcome to start a fundraiser of your own. Every amount raised can make a difference in a cat’s life and help us give them the second chance they deserve.
