In memory of Rebus 🌿🐾

He always found comfort tucked into the bushes — it was his favourite place since he was little. That was Rebus… gentle, quiet, always observing from his own little nook in the world.

He brought a peaceful kind of love to everyone who met him — and he was adored beyond words by his family. Their love for him was constant, deep, and full of grace — and he felt it, every single day.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but Rebus left this world wrapped in love and dignity.
Rest easy, sweet boy. You were so very cherished. 🤍

They care about their dog.
And honestly? Same.

So when they ask what they’re paying for, here’s what I’d love to say:

“You’re not paying for someone to watch your dog.”
You’re paying for:

🛏️ A personal chef-slash-butler
🚨 A 24/7 emergency response team (it’s me)
💩 A p**p-detecting, paw-wiping, blanket-tucking machine
📸 A professional pet paparazzi
🧼 A janitor who scrubs p*e off hardwood like a Disney princess 👸

You’re also getting:

Meet Rudie!

This shy and reserved boy is on the path to joining full pack walks in . We are working together slowly, and building trust between us and with Coltie.

In just two weeks he has already shown amazing progress, trying to initiate play and allowing me to pet him. This makes me super proud and I can’t wait to see the “full” spunky Rudie boy in the coming weeks. 😍

Not all dogs are instantly comfortable and social. I work with you and your dog to make sure they’re integrated seamlessly and feel like they belong within their new pack! 🐕

I am in LOVE, and also feeling so much gratitude!🙏

Not only does it feel uplifting to have one of your role models ask you to dog sit their dog, but then their dog comes into your home so flawlessly that you never want to return him. 🤪

All jokes aside. It has been an honour and privilege to welcome Rico into my home and pack this weekend. His integration was seemless in every area and is a true testament to all of and Rico’s ongoing training and the loving bond that they share.
Alex has always been someone I look up to within the dog walking field, and this visit with Rico solidified why!
Thank you to my good friend Alex for trusting me with half of your heart. I can’t wait to have him back, he’s the perfect edition in every way. ❤️

Here at Wet Noses Getaway, we don’t just watch your dog, we build a bond.

We encourage positive play, and manners when interacting with other fur friends and humans because we believe in everybody being able to feel safe and secure.

Not only do our dogs feel loved and at ease when they’re in our care, but they excel in overcoming the fears they may have, and in turn, flourish into themselves!

We give them the room and gentle guidance to explore their world, and be who they are.
