The wind was WILD today, but real training doesn’t wait for perfect weather!

Today Bella had the chance to work alongside Kody who is also in training for reactivity. Both dogs handled the session beautifully despite the extremely gusty conditions.

In these short clips we’re building a few important skills:

• Sit-stay exchanges — Bella holds a sit while the other dog moves into position, and vice versa. This helps teach both dogs to default to calm, patient behaviour when another dog approaches.

• Passing a dog across the street while the other dog maintains a sit and vice versa, building on point one.

• Walking alongside the other dog, gradually getting closer and closer as both dogs remain calm and focused.

Moments like this matter. Dogs don’t live in perfect environments. They live in a world full of distractions, scents, movement, sounds… and apparently very enthusiastic wind!

Training in numerous and unexpected conditions helps build the kind of reliability that carries over into everyday life.

SO proud of the progress these two are making. And who knows? Maybe these two can end up being good friends 🐾!

Clarity reduces anxiety.

Both in humans AND dogs.

Many behaviours stem from a lack of clarity.

When a dog doesn't know:

• what the rules are
• what behaviour works
• what will happen next

their nervous system stays on edge.

That tension often shows up as barking, reactivity, restlessness, or constant testing of boundaries. But when communication and expectations become clear… anxiety decreases.

Structure isn’t restrictive.
It’s stabilizing.

Clarity reduces anxiety.
Consistency builds confidence.

When dogs understand how to navigate this world, they can finally relax in it.
