Grand Prairie Alberta, CKC dog show June 2025.
Well it was a rough start to the show losing Lizzie the day before we left but the pups kept me so busy I didn’t really have much time to dwell on the sadness.
The fist 4 shows were a bust then the next 4 shows Bree pointed off of Winnie…so Bree now sits with 6 pts towards her champion title (needing a total of 10), and Winnie still sits with her 2pt win from FSJ. Winnie could care less she is just happy being with all the people, lol. Bree loves the people but is not too sure about being judged and gets a little ‘droopy’…hoping by next year she will be a little more confident.
Ode won Best Veteran in breed and group (he was the only veteran entered)…but he loved the whole adventure of shows and camping, he’s always sooooo happy.

Well we did it!
Lots of running a bit of jumping and no one fell down (this time 😂).
The morning of the first day Bree took reserve bitch (no points) so I was hopeful with what might come, alas the next 5 shows no placings so show 7 blew my mind when she took winners bitch for a two point win! Sooooo happy. Then show 8 the unexpected happened, Winnie took winners bitch🥳…
I was starting to think that I bit off more than I could chew, I entered both Bree and Winnie into the show without ever seeing them but I knew their parents so I jumped in with both feet. For the six weeks that I had them I worked with them 2-3 times every single day mornings, evenings and bed time. It was a lot but they finally started working good with me at home but had never been around a bunch of people and other dogs. They did so much better handling all the chaos than I figured they would💗
(Even their brace class improve! Much faster than the first judges assessment of 20 years🤪🤣🤣🤣).
Lenni was only entered in shows 5-8 as she only needed one point to get her Grand Champion title. She got a Best of Opposite in the afternoon to put her over for her title, sooo happy. She placed in shows 7&8 too but with the pups doing so well and shocking me I didnt pay attention to points for her🤪.
Ode came out for Vetran classes. Lori was tough competition with her beautiful black male but day three Ode won and earned his big silver ribbon 🎀
I wish I could stress less and enjoy it more, because I really do enjoy it…thank you to everyone that helped couldn’t do it without you my wonderful husband for being sooooo supportive, running his butt off fixing my trailer so I had a place to do all the things from, looking after my life at home (not an easy task) I love you so incredibly much😘, Christine Jones my partner in all things dogs, I couldn’t and wouldn’t do it without you, I know I say it all the time and it still rings true from the first time I met you…you are such an amazing person and my life is so much better with you in it, love you! To Marta Emma for being such good puppy sitters💕 and to everyone that encouraged me and had my back😍

The two new girls in the crew. They are a handful but they are slowly figuring out how life on the farm works. With six weeks of handling I am going to try my best at the Fort St John show🤪…
Bree, in blue, is a Tundra baby so that makes her a 1/2 sister to my man Ode (also going to the show as a veteran this year), Winnie is a Koa baby (Ode’s full brother of Fin and Tundras litter of two).
