Delisle Veterinary Service

Delisle Veterinary Service Small (Companion) Animal Veterinary Clinic providing hospital, medical, dental, and surgical service "Big City Service, Small Town Friendly" says it well.

Delisle Veterinary Service provides a wide range of veterinary services for companion (small) animals. Often, new clients are surprised that a small town clinic offers so many services and that it is so well equipped. Dr. Lorrie Fraser established the clinic and has special interests in surgery, dentistry and canine reproduction. Dr. Fraser's "happy place" is in surgery, especially helping dogs wi

th ruptured anterior cruciate ligaments. She would love for the clinic to have a reputation of being the "canine knee clinic". She finds it very rewarding to restore a painfully lame dog back to an active life. Dr. Amanda Schutz is our associate with a special interest in medicine, diagnostic imaging (ultrasonography, radiology) and wellness. Dr. Schutz has developed a wellness screening program and finds it very rewarding to identify disease processes early, before there are clinical signs of disease. She works with her cases to find treatment and diet options that can maintain and improve her patient's quality of life. She has also taken a huge initiative to found "Spitfire Animal Rescue". As for small town friendly, our staff take "team" to a different level. We are "family". We share common goals in providing veterinary services. We value a workplace that is peaceful and welcoming. Pets seem to sense this too! Please check out our website for directions, hours and valuable animal health information. www.delislevet.net

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT (from Veterinary Technician)
on Behalf of Hummingbirds:
This hummingbird is unable to retract her tongue due to fungal spores that have germinated on her tongue or in her gullet caused by folks mixing honey or anything other than plain white sugar with water. She will die because she can no longer feed.
If you have feeders, PLEASE USE ONLY PLAIN WHITE SUGAR in your mixture of 1 part sugar to 4 parts water. No organic or raw or brown sugar, no powdered sugar, no honey, no artificial sugar. Use plain white sugar/water mixture which is most similar to actual flower nectar. And no toxic red color liquids such as koolaid etc.. !
Change the sugar water mixture every couple of days, especially during high temperatures, as it will start to ferment if
it sits out for days on end.
If you can't or won't do this, please do not put out a feeder at all.
