Ace takes Select for now 6 points to his Grand Ch under 9 months of age and a Best Puppy in Group today.
Wonderful way for my friends to celebrate the kennel while Kaitlin,Sara and Dawson turn the kennel back into livable. I helped some but this group knew the routine and finished ahead of schedule.
A tremendous weekend for all.

Big crisis from the cellar dweller !!!
My blow up bed in the puppy room has sprung a leak somewhere and am now in jeopardy of losing even more sleep.
Some four legged critter has been trying to make a bed in my bed !!!!
So my Active Era bed is now deactivating
So if no one hears from me by mid morning I am swamped in deflated rubber.
Actually when making my 2 hourly checks I guess I’ll just turn the darn thing on
I have been pro active now and gone up and ordered a new one as I may be up on the main floor it’ll be downstairs in two weeks when Sadie does her thing. So one does what one must do to be comfortable
I have test slept a whole bunch and this has been the best so far
Looking down at these one week old Sumo warriors fighting over one ni**le is crazy
Poor Kali but she is sleeping through it all.
Me, I’m crossing my arms over my chest and wincing. How can she sleep through that.
Dogs are stronger than we are by far
Set the clock and check the kids and blow it up. Catchy tune eh! Nite!

Well after over 2000 miles in 3 days we are home.
Down to see Tom Shearer at Bonaventure to pick up Bonaventure’s Grace.
Quite the adventure with Darlene Literovich along to help drive and shop!!!
Having to change vehicles due to tire mishaps and pouring rain that you could hardly see through and such lush greenery at the end of the trip! Yup I SAID GREEN AND GORGEOUS IN Kentucky.
Left all of you folks in charge and returned to brown and cold.
Kaitlin of course saved the days again and NO she is not for relocation!
Grace travelled extremely well
Thank you Tom for parting with this stunning young girl. I am over the moon to have another Bonaventure girl in situ!
Spotted a black male there that set me back on my heels and possibly he may want to also become Canadian. Darlene immediately fell in lust and I couldn’t blame her as he caught my eye as I immediately walked by his kennel
We shall see!!!
Darlene survived the trip with me like a pro and I may live to see another day.
Going back for Gail’s memorial service at Miami valley to honor an extremely wonderful dedicated Labrador breeder.
Her knowledge of pedigrees and dogs gone by was utterly amazing. To not go would be an incredible dishonour for our friendship. These losses of such knowledgeable people is a tremendous loss to today’s breeders. There are less of them to carry the standard of our breed forward. RIP my friend.

Well the Rogue and Decker have given up a beautiful litter of huge kids!!
This litter has some of the best of the US pedigrees and I am pleased at the quality of them.
However, at 1 week and 2 days I cannot believe the size of these guys
To keep up the milk production, Rogue putting away 8 cups of kibble, 1 cup yogurt and 2 boiled eggs daily and all the treats she can get. It’s working they are quite the tanks and should have skateboards at how fast they motor around the box
She is an amazing mom and I just keep an eye on the cameras to see how things are going.
They have passed the singleton baby in size already.
I am averaging 12 return trips to the puppy area a day plus all the forgets and what nots a day
Who need to waste money on a gym membership
But more than worth it.
I even have time to get the snow and dog jewels out of the yard as we have been full of boarders to add excitement to the mix
I think we briefly touched on retirement which translates to same amount of work but just different venue.
And don’t forget My green boyfriend
Yep Nothing like a John Deere requires no feeding or coddling just Grade 1 fuel at regular intervals. He’s a keeper!

The joys of breeding as any breeder will attest to.
Have a very well bred bitch, Molly.
Always struggling with smaller litters. Lovely puppies although not many.
Bred to BISS Amethyst Top Gun and looking forward to a small litter but X-rays confirmed one.
Because of only 1 puppy and larger size schedules a section yesterday.
Voila multiple cysts on left side Of uterus…… problem solved
Whatever pups she has had were probably maintained on the right side. Easy fix instant spay and problem solved
Have no idea if there is discomfort during pregnancy but putting her through full pregnancy with questionable results.
She is in a forever home and she will be loved beyond means with the Pickering Jr’s.
Puppy is big and strong although moms milk not in so back to the 1 1/2 hour dropper feeds. Even though I am a nurse I dislike tube feeds and would rather have do the feeds until things stabilize.
I watched Dr Capao at Pet Vet so carefully remove this big jumble of fragile fluid filled grapes. Took him longer than usual but so impressed with the care in removing this leaky mess.
Mom and baby doing well and I am once again getting acclimating my blow up bed in whelping room
All the comforts of home!
