Meet Poppy!

Poppy is a young, healthy mixed-breed dog, about one year old. She’s an athletic and intelligent pup who is just starting to show her true personality. Shelter life has been a little overwhelming, but with gentle handling and tasty treats, she’s warming up and showing her sweet, thoughtful side.

We believe Poppy may have some Carolina Dog heritage, which often means she’s observant, sensitive, and cautious in new situations. Once she feels safe, she forms strong bonds and looks to her people for guidance. Agile and energetic, Poppy could be a great match for someone interested in dog sports or other fun activities.

Training & Support

Poppy will benefit from positive, reward-based training methods that focus on building trust and confidence. She’ll do best with predictable routines and gradual introductions to new experiences. Her adopter should be prepared to work on:

-Confidence-building and gentle socialization
-Safe handling and management to prevent flight behaviour
-Basic manners and trust-building activities

Ideal Home

Poppy would do best in a calm, patient home with people who understand that she needs time and consistency to feel secure. She may try to flee if startled, so her adopter must commit to safe handling and escape-proof routines during her transition.
Poppy needs a home with no other dogs, she has some some reactivity around food and we will be assessing it more. Cat compatibility was successful, she was interested but in a suitable manner. Best suited for homes with no children due to her fear-based behaviours.

NanananNami!

If soulful eyes and a big, loving heart are what you’re looking for, Nami might just be your perfect match. This gorgeous brindle girl turns heads wherever she goes with her stunning coat and gentle, expressive face. Still young and full of life, Nami is a happy, affectionate dog who loves attention—especially from anyone offering pets or snacks!

Nami is a total sweetheart who enjoys cuddles, playtime, and being near her people. She’s done well with other dogs so far and could happily share her home with a well-matched canine friend (male or female).

Training Needs and Ideal Home

Nami is smart and eager to please but would benefit from continued socialization and basic manners training as she learns about the world. She’s already house-trained and in good health, making her a great foundation for someone looking to continue her journey into adulthood. Nami could live in as apartment as she is dog friendly and has been a quiet pup so far. Because she can get a little jumpy when excited, we recommend a home with children aged 12 and up. Cats are currently an unknown, so any introductions should be done carefully and with supervision.

Nami is looking for a family who will include her in daily life and provide her with the love, guidance, and structure she needs to thrive. She’ll do best with adopters who enjoy an active lifestyle and are ready to help her burn off some youthful energy through walks, playtime, and positive training.

In return, Nami promises to be a loyal, loving companion who will melt your heart every time she gazes up at you with those big brown eyes.

If you’re ready to welcome a beautiful, goofy, and affectionate young dog into your life, Nami is waiting to meet you!

Temporary Foster Needed: November 26 – December 15

Meet Grizzly — A Gentle Giant Looking for His Forever Home
Est. DOB: 08/14/2021

Grizzly is a 130-lb lovebug who melts hearts wherever he goes. Calm, affectionate, and crate trained, he thrives indoors and enjoys quiet moments as much as playtime. This big softie loves car rides, cuddles, and handing out slobbery kisses.

Grizzly does have some leash frustration on walks, which completely disappears when he has access to a yard. Because of this, he needs a home with outdoor space and someone experienced with large breeds who understands his needs. He also has protective instincts, so a confident, capable handler is essential.

While Grizzly generally leaves cats alone, their reactions to his size can vary — he could do well with a confident, dog-savvy cat who won’t be intimidated by him.

Grizzly would do best as the only dog in a patient, confident home. He thrives in calm environments and responds beautifully to gentle guidance — and in return, he’ll shower you with loyalty, affection, and endless cuddles.

💛 We’re looking for a temporary foster for Grizzly from November 26 to December 15. If you can open your home (and your heart) to help this gentle giant, please reach out.
