Benefit of Urban Farming For Times Of Social Disatancing and Senior Health

What can contribute to our evolving existence more than the wanting to contribute to the healthy growth of children of now and tomorrow, keeping in mind all those that had passed through before and their dreams of a bright future for others to be.

That wish took me on a spiritual experience with the land where ever people have settled especially, family.

Family is every where, we all have family every where some where there is some one there but by chance if there is no one around, if we are isolated, with some outpost for supply, some stores maybe nearby and being isolated well, we don’t get out much, right?

So, in my 50 years of being a settler, with a pioneering spirit and not interested in positions of power but of good taste, good health, sound mind into the years before officially becoming a senior and the reality of not having infinite health and strong bones for getting around, and being able to eat decent home made food any where in Canada I chose to travel to and stay for a few years.

With the right guidance and developed hands on practice an every day gardener can elevate to truly more sovereign capabilities add the benefit of the development of the ability to be their own executive chef capabilities and we have more than a winner, we have a winning family not just one or two feisty neighbors here or there in urban lore, but we all become the stuff of lore.

Social distancing stopped the people from gardening on shared plots and threatened their health, depriving children of what families have scarce growing space to share with their playgrounds.

Those gardens shaped the futures of those families and they know now what to do to make growing through more months to be less challenging more rewarding with extended harvests in some of Earth’s harshest climates.

We have 30 million more people to guide towards self sustaining futures during times of what we would consider disasters beyond our norm of acceptance.

Fresh food, fresh eggs, vegetables, berries, fruits and more is more manageable to produce locally than any time before, even in isolation.
