“We made it home and she’s settling in.
She was such a trooper and extremely comfortable in the trailer. We did 3 break stops where we unloaded and gave her water and went for a cut of a walk and she handled everything in stride and loads back up like a dream.
You’ve given her a really great and solid start ❤️
She definitely approaches life and people like she’s never had a bad day/ experience in her life.

Sometimes the silent whisper of goodbye day comes sooner than you thought, as the cries of our hearts fade into the night we hope you both are running in the greenest pastures free of pain.
💙To Summer, the amazing “broodmare sound” mare we took into our program who was nothing but a stubborn sweetheart. We unfortunately didn’t get many babies from her in that time. But the ones we got are worth their gold. And her last sweet Gracie we will retain.
💙To Spade, one of our founding broodmares of our program, who was so untouched when I got her she would take off running with you behind the rope if you didn’t let go. But you came around, and your babies shown the trainable mind just like you did in your later years. We are thankful to have not sold her gorgeous 2024 Filly and will keep her back.
🩵🩵🩵 I always say sometimes it’s easier when “god” “universe” has taken things into their hands then to be the one to know and make the call that their pain is unbearable and unmanageable, and they have to be free.
I think this may be the hardest part of Ranching.
I can put on a business face for awhile when making decisions but the tears behind the scenes are real. Because all of our stock means so much.

“Hi I’m KFC MARS BAR and my owners say I’m too special so I cannot live with the bulls and fight and get hurt, and they won’t let me live with the cows for some reason all year. Something about winter calving is no fun 🤷” anyway I steal horses grain but I’m not always impressed I can’t live with the cows.
But I’m a really big suck and love scratched because I was shown as a calf” ☺️

Meet Clorice,
She has been one of the special faces “just because we love her” around here for years. She really doesn’t have a particular job, but her job is super important. Bringing smiles to a young girls face, and special life to the ranch.
Clorice came with a sheep friend years ago and now is friends with all the horses, she is sweet, and super vocal. If you’re late with their snacks or she’s low on something, or she just wants a bit of attention you are sure to hear from Clorice.
So whenever someone asks what animals we have we always have to include Clorice because she holds a special space.
