✨NIKE aka Nicki Spotlight ✨

Nicki is a gentle soul who’s been overlooked for far too long. She came to us after spending six to eight months at another rescue, and she’s now been with us for two months, yet somehow, no one has shown any interest in her. 😔

We know why… she lacks confidence. We struggle to understand how no one has looked past that to see the incredible dog she truly is.

While she can be nervous, she’s so eager to please and follows direction. There isn’t a mean bone in her body. She is simply the sweetest.

Outdoors in a fenced space, Nicki comes alive. She loves to run, stretch her legs, and for a little while, she seems to forget all her worries.

Indoors, she’s quiet as a mouse and this is where her insecurity shows more. She’s calm in her crate, calm when she’s loose, and always gentle in spirit.

Nicki absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes, though she could do well on her own with a patient adopter.

This girl has waited long enough — she’s so deserving of love, safety, and a home to finally call her own.

[ EVICTED: to be forced to leave a property, especially a home ]

Sadly, Mayson has been evicted from his foster home with a vacate notice for November 22

He has been with his foster home for 6 months & with the holidays upon us, there's no room for a foster dog, sadly.

Mayson will not do well in a kennel setting as he was originally pulled from an Ontario shelter where he wasn't tolerating a kennel.

Mayson is a rocksteady kinda dog and it surprises me he's not yet been adopted to a great home, but here we are in Ontario in 2025.

Please help me with reach far & wide so I can find a committed foster home for him until adoption. Or better yet, an adopter.

Evictions are evictions and I get why people quit on their foster dogs after 6 months but the dogs are the ones that pay the ultimate price. We live in a messed up rescue time right now and 6 months in rescue is not a shocking foster period. Especially for black dogs & bully breeds - which was a discussion had prior to Mayson even joining Mattie's Place

He's a good dog. Can you help me find him a roof to put over his head that isn't a kennel scenario?
