It is with lots of pondering and communication with my wife that we have decided that we are closing Maxximum K9 for year end, it was a good run. To the many of you who have supported us, a sincere thank you!
Overheads have risen dramatically, including all forms of taxation, carbon taxes, interest rates, insurance etc.... product costs, product availability, logistics, utility costs have also risen making a viable small business like ours, very difficult to maintain.
The COVID Pandemic has changed the way most people live, previously we had lots of socialization at dog training clubs,and trials. We have had an uptick in some of that activity, but COVID has put us into a hole that has been hard to rise from.
We also had multiple break ins with multiple thefts at our club field and from our home, of Maxximum K9 equipment and stock.
Then our lease agreement was not renewed at our field due to a change of ownership.
All of this has added up to our disheartening decision to close.
