Jungle Out There Pet Services Your in-home pet care solution in High River, Alberta! I dedicate my life to providing a high qualit Welcome! I bring you peace of mind when you can't be there.

I officially opened Jungle Out There Pet Services on September 1, 2015, after my husband Richard and I had struggled to find professional in-home pet care for our own animals. My education, experience, and passion as a pet owner boasts professional, compassionate, and personalized care to both 2 and 4 legged clients. I offer a wide range of services:

- Private Dog Walks
- Off-Leash Pack Dog Walks


- Pet Care Visits (15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length)
- Home/Security Checks
- Pet Supply Pick Up/Pet Taxi
- Backyard Chicken/Small Flock Resources

All services include regular updates, a detailed visit checklist of tasks completed, an overall health evaluation and lots of TLC! There are no additional fees for medication administration or for holidays. I am insured, licensed, bonded, certified in Pet First Aid/CPR, and vet recommended. I am happy to provide references and a copy of my criminal record check upon request. Rescue work is near and dear to my heart and I have partnered with Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society for a fundraising initiative called Change for Critters! Clients will have the option to add $1.00 to their invoice which will go directly to help the animals! Call or text today to book your complimentary Meet and Greet! Effective November 1, 2016: I am unable to provide pet care services to clients who live outside of High River town limits

Effective January 1, 2020: Only once daily 15 minute pet care visits and home/security checks are offered on Saturdays and Sundays

Effective July 1, 2022: A total mileage fee of $2.50, plus GST, is added to each service

Despite a few delays with the rain yesterday, our fencing project is coming along nicely! 👌🏼 No injuries, we’re on schedule, we have some pretty cute “supervisors”, and we’re enjoying the time together. It’s not a fun chore but it’s always nice to spend a week together in summer on our acreage playing catch up. Reminds me how blessed we are to live where we do and how we’ve really made this space our own ❤️

The last time Richard and I did a bunch of fencing at our acreage, him (and Waylon!) spent their fair share of time wrangling the pig back into her pen as she kept escaping! 😆🐷

There will be no pack walks next week as we will be fixing several areas of fencing that are in need of repairs 🔨 (that will hopefully be pig proof after the fact! 😜).

All other services - pet care visits, overnight care, etc. - will be still offered as usual 💜

Richard and I had the pleasure of taking in Spruce Meadows for the first time recently. What an amazing place it is with so much history, fun activities, and amazing horse events to take in. I highly recommend it if you get the chance to visit as they celebrate 50 years this year! (They also have miniature cows you can cuddle… for the low price of $25,000 you can have your very own! 🤭)

These two mean the world to me - my hubby Richard and my business mentor and very close friend Judy. I am beyond delighted that come November 1 I will be spending the day with them on a trip of a lifetime as we are traveling with Classic Canadian Tours on a polar bear safari in Churchill, Manitoba! So exciting! 🩵🤍🐻‍❄️

No pet care services will be available Saturday, November 1, but all services will resume as usual on November 2. Looking forward to a fabulous adventure!

Yeehaw, the Calgary Stampede has officially kicked off! 🤠

Richard and I spent the morning in the big city at our favorite nursing home with Jesse, Margarita, and our baby tortoise Bowser made his first public appearance too! 🐢💚

I wasn’t sure if the residents would be very interested in him or if he would even stick his head out from his shell, but he was a total superstar and I have no doubt he’ll be the topic of conversation over supper tonight 😂 He even met one delightful woman who is turning 100 next month! 🥹

Happy Stampede-ing if that’s your thing and thanks to Clifton House and their almost 200 residents for having us again for a visit 🙏🏼

🇨🇦❤️🍁 Happy Canada Day!

Today I celebrate the country I feel very fortunate to call home. Richard and I comment almost daily how lucky we are to have made our home together in an area where we have an amazing lifestyle in the country, feel safe, and are just minutes from some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world ⛰️ We acknowledge how blessed we are to live in our corner of this country.

My Story

Welcome! My name is Cassandra Kirkpatrick and I am the Owner/Operator of Jungle Out There Pet Services. Shortly after my husband and I moved to High River in 2011 with our four dogs, I recognized a need in the community for professional pet care services. We both worked long days at work, and would often say to each other, "Wouldn't it be nice to have someone who was trust worthy, reliable, and loved our dogs as much as we do that could come to our home and let them out during the day?".
