We operate as a u-pick farm in the summer months, and farm store with urban drop offs the rest of the year.

Even though I'm spending most of my time in the saskatoon bushes right now enjoying an amazing crop, this is also a sight I never grow tired off. The left side is the lush green grass that has grown back after grazing our chickens across it. The right strip has yet to be grazed this summer. When you are consciously building into the soil, building organic matter, letting the soil absorb more CO2, and developing more drought resistance, it is great to see the soil respond so positively growing delicious nutrient dense food.

20 minutes from Olds
40 minutes from Cochrane
50 minutes from Airdrie
60 minutes from Calgary

Search "Saskaberry Ranch" on Google Maps and enjoy a gorgeous drive through rolling hills with various mountain views (and cows. So, so many cows).

We hope you're excited for saskatoons; the grandkids sure are!

We absolutely love when kids pile out of cars onto our farm. Our kids were picking saskatoons since they could walk, so we know that berry-picking is a perfect family outing for the summer. With no entry fee (you only pay for what you pick) and only an hour northwest of Calgary (near Sundre on Highway 22), we hope you and yours come visit the farm when we open later this month. (Stay tuned for updates!)

Fun fact: We were out snapping some photos and the grandkids insisted they give it a go too. These photos are the best efforts of our up-and-coming marketing team.

Berry Picking Update:

Our saskatoon blossoms are long gone, but we have fruit starting to change colour! If this warm weather persists, we'll be on track to be picking 'toons in TWO WEEKS. 😲

Now, this is VERY weather dependent, so stay tuned for our exact opening day later this month.

In the meantime, enjoy our berries in our granddaughter's favourite colour: PINK!

So this is our world....the radar image of the storm approaching and the flight path of the plane trying to get it to hail on us. I'm not sure if it's still current, but in the past insurance companies paid for the hail suppression program, and we cannot get hail insurance for our fruit. And I'm guessing if we file hail claims on our building damages our premiums would go up as we would be in a higher risk zone. Any suggestions? Message us, thanks.
