Hill’s Pet Nutrition Buys a Raw Food Brand—Wait, What?!
For years, Hill’s (owned by Colgate-Palmolive) has warned pet owners that fresh and raw diets are dangerous, incomplete, and risky. They’ve funded studies, backed vet education against raw feeding, and pushed ultra-processed kibble—sold in vet clinics as so-called “prescription” food—as the only “safe” option.
And now? They’ve just acquired Prime100—one of Australia’s leading fresh pet food brands.
So, is raw food suddenly not dangerous? Or is this just another corporate cash grab now that fresh feeding is too popular to ignore?
At Curated Canines, we've always believed that you are what you eat—and that many of the issues these “prescription” diets claim to fix are better solved with real, whole foods. We’ve spent years proving that fresh, natural diets work, while Hill’s spent years saying they don’t… until now.
With Hill’s in control, will Prime100’s quality remain the same? Will vet advice finally change? Or will this be another case of big pet food saying one thing and doing another?
