💔Sadly we lost baby Panda.
After fighting non-stop for days to get this sweet baby boy to survive his battle came to a close. He came into our care at 53g and from there continued to loose weight despite being fed 1ml every 30 min day & night via tube because he was not able to nurse. We suspect he was underdeveloped internally because he wasn’t able to keep even that small amount down. Finally we had to make a difficult call. Holding him in loving hands as he took his last breath. 😭
Rest in peace baby boy Mumma loves you. 🕊️
This never gets easier. It hurts when people assume we’re unaffected by losses like this because we pour our heart and souls into every single life. This is something we take on because that baby deserves someone to fight for them when they cannot. To be their voice when they can’t speak. And to make those difficult calls despite how much it kills us. But we do it because of them.
They didn’t choose this life.
Being a rescuer isn’t something someone chooses to do. It’s a deep calling to step up for a vulnerable life in need of help.
