2-Year-Old Golden Retriever mix Looking for a Loving Home

Willow is a beautiful, affectionate, and energetic 2-year-old Golden Retriever in need of a new home. She has a playful spirit, loves to be around people, and thrives in an environment where she gets lots of attention, structure, and love.

Willow does struggle with some anxiety and can be sensitive when left alone for long periods. She is not aggressive, just nervous at times and very people-oriented. She would do best in a calm, stable home with someone who has experience with dogs or the patience to continue working with her as she builds confidence.

A home without very young children would be best, as Willow can be quite excitable and doesn’t always recognize her size or boundaries. However, she could do well with older children who are calm, respectful, and comfortable around dogs.

Willow could likely get along well with another dog, as long as introductions are done slowly and carefully. She has also been exposed to cats and is not aggressive toward them, but she does have poor boundaries, she tends to try and play by charging up to them, which can be overwhelming for calmer or older cats.

Willow is best matched with someone who is home often or has the flexibility to provide her with consistent care, daily exercise, and mental stimulation.

She is not spayed and would not be suitable for breeding.

Lainey went home today from her board and train!
She doesn’t run for her life around noises and vehicles anymore, she has obedience around things that have frightened her and she has improved recovery times and confidence when she is faced with fears. I will be posting her before and after shortly!
