*Please note that the adoption fee covers over 400$ worth of veterinary costs for a single kitten and over 800$ worth of veterinary costs for a pair of kittens including but not limited to:
-Spay/neuter

Jovi, Raimy, Ramona, Jorge, and Regina are now available for adoption!

These playful, biscuit making kitties are currently in a loving foster home and are ready to find their forever families! They absolutely adore their human companions and are full of affection and energy.

These kitties are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated with RCCP, and on parasite prevention.

They would like to go home with one of their siblings or to a home with a young cat or dog friend to match their energy level.

If you’re interested in adopting , submit a cat adoption application found in the drop down menu at the top of our website. We will schedule a phone call to discuss their history and proper care. If everything feels like a match, a meet and greet is scheduled at the time of adoption to ensure the right fit. Our cat adoption fee is $300, or $550 for a pair.

We’re soaking up the sunshine and spreading the love during our Summer Lovin’ Had Me a Blast Adoption Event, happening July 21-27 at PetSmart, 7 Clair Road W, Guelph.

We’re on a mission to find 40 cats, bunnies and rats their perfect forever homes before the week is through!

Fern, Himmel, Stark, Gucci, Bobcat, Plum Jello, Cherry Jello, and Lemon Jello are some of the cats available for adoption! Check out all our adorable adoptables in the adoption gallery on our website. Submit your adoption application in advance to speed things up and find your perfect match!

Dorset Rescue Kittens is proud to partner and bring adoptable cats to 7 Clair Road W- South Guelph Petsmart in support of Petsmart Charities of Canada’s National Adoption Week, which is being held July 21-27.

During the in-store event, Dorset Rescue Kittens invites all potential cat parents to come meet our adoptable cats. Our volunteers are available to provide meet and greets seven days a week! Come get some snuggles with our cats in the spacious meet and greet adoption room.

If you see a match, please submit an adoption application. We will schedule an adoption call with you to share all the information about the pet’s background, personality, and medical care they’ve had while in our care. We want to insure a great match for our adopters, as well as our animals.

Gold Medal Ribbon is a sweet, loyal, and intelligent adult cat with a gentle, curious nature. She loves to explore her surroundings but is just as happy to curl up for a quiet cuddle. Despite her loving personality and easygoing charm, she hasn’t received a single adoption application yet! She’s patiently waiting for someone to see what a wonderful companion she truly is.

🌸 Welcome Little Chinatsu 🌸

Say hello to our newest tiny warrior, Chinatsu 🐾 This brave little girl came into our care last week alongside her four playful brothers. While her siblings were bouncing around, Chinatsu was clearly struggling, not bearing any weight on her back left leg. Still purring and seeking attention but unable to jump and play.

After x-rays, our vet discovered she has a spiral fracture. She’s now on strict rest and receiving lots of love and care as we monitor her healing. We’re hoping her tiny body will do its magic and she won’t need further intervention. 💪

She goes back in for follow-up x-rays in two weeks, and we’ll be keeping our fingers and paws crossed for good news! 🐾💖

Smirnoff is a domestic shorthair cream and brown point male. Captain Morgan is a black domestic shorthair male. They are 1 1/2 years old. They were born in care in January 2024 and due to no fault of their own they were recently surrendered back into our care.

Smirnoff is a cat with a personality as big as his heart. Affectionate, sociable, and full of charm, he’s guaranteed to win you over with his playful spirit. Always up for a new adventure, his curious nature drives him to investigate every corner he can find. His silly antics will keep you smiling, and he absolutely adores spending time with his humans.

Captain Morgan is a cat with a big personality. Sweet, friendly, and cuddly, he’s sure to melt your heart. He’s always on the lookout for new adventures, his curious nature leading him to explore every nook and cranny. He’ll keep you laughing with his goofy, playful antics. He also loves to be with his people.

Captain Morgan has an intermittent, non-productive cough. He’s already been examined by a veterinarian and had radiographs taken. At this time, no medical treatment is needed but it’s important for potential adopters to know that this cough could be an early sign of asthma. It doesn’t slow him down, but it does mean he’ll thrive best in a clean, dust-free environment. His condition should be monitored, and there’s a chance he may need medical management in the future.

With the right home and attentive care, we believe Captain Morgan will do wonderfully. He’s a special boy who deserves a special family and we’re confident that whoever brings him home will find the reward of a loving, loyal companion.

Smirnoff and Captain Morgan are a bonded pair who have never been separate since the day they were born and must be adopted together. They have both lived with a dog and are currently very interested in a foster puppy they hang with every day. They would do well with a cat or dog friend with proper slow introductions.

Meet Jerry, our sweet, goofy, and loving boy who has been with us for a full year without receiving a single application.

Jerry is a 4 year old brown and white domestic shorthair with a heart as big as his sweet personality. He’s smart, loyal, affectionate, and always ready to charm you with his silly antics and cuddly nature.

Jerry has some congenital eye issues and scarring from chronic irritation, despite his unique appearance, his vision is functional and he’s comfortable. He just needs daily eye drops to stay healthy which he takes easily if he gets a tube treat after! He has been cleared by our vet for adoption.

He would thrive in a calm, understanding home and would likely enjoy living with a cat or dog companion with proper introductions.

Jerry has been enjoying all the love from his foster mom while he waits for his future family! Could you be the one to finally give him the loving forever home he deserves?

Summer is in full swing and to answer a question we receive on a daily basis - yes, we do have kittens! Pictured here is Mama Lorelai who is currently in foster care with her five little girls - Logan, Tristin, Rory, Paris, and Dean. They are 5 weeks old.

While these kittens are not yet available for adoption, many of our little ones will be ready for adoption in the coming weeks. Please keep an eye on our adoption gallery found on our website as kittens get adopted quickly.

In two weeks time we will be having a week long adoption event for National Adoption Week with PetSmart!

We can’t believe these 4 perfect potbelly piglets are still looking for their forever homes!

Nobody has followed through on their adoption interest so far, and we’re honestly shocked. These piglets are absolute gems, and we know their perfect people are out there. Please keep sharing to help us reach them!

Here’s why they’re amazing:

* Social, loving, and full of personality
* Hilarious little characters
* Obsessed with snacks
* Great with other animals
* Fully vetted: vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed/neutered
