Sweet Penny Lane🩷

All her siblings have been adopted, leaving miss Penny waiting for her forever family. 🥺

Penny is so sweet and playful. She is the perfect balance of kitten energy and sleepy snuggles. She is very outgoing and would love to find her new home soon. 🩷

Penny absolutely must be adopted into a home with another friendly kitty as she adores cuddling up with a furry friend.

Sq**rt & Miles 🥹

These two cutie pies are coming in for their vaccines 💉 tomorrow and will soon be ready for their next adventure! 🏡

When Miles first came into our care, he was dealing with a mild upper respiratory infection. He’s been treated and is doing really great now! You may remember that this little man made intake number 400 for us — hence the name Miles, for Milestone! Of course, that makes him even more special to us. 🫶🏼

And then there’s little Miss Sq**rt…😂

Sq**rt came to us with a nasty botfly in her neck that had unfortunately turned into an abscess. When our veterinarian drained the abscess, the pus (unfortunately for her 🤢😂) ended up all over her face, while the botfly itself ricocheted right off her forehead! 🙀😂 Luckily she was a good sport about it, but I’m not going to lie- it was NASTY! I swear you can’t make this stuff up.

And so yeah….THAT is how Sq**rt got her name. 😝💦

This brother-sister duo came from the colony we are still actively working on here in Tweed. They’re approximately 14 weeks old and are both absolute cuties who would love to find a wonderful home — either together or with another friendly, playful kitty. 🐾

As you all know, we have SO many amazing kittens currently looking for their furever homes, with even more sweet babies becoming available for adoption very soon.❤️

Because so many of these little ones would truly thrive with a feline friend, we’re offering a 2-for-1 adoption special on our kittens! 🐱🐱❤️

Kittens are often happiest when they have another kitten to grow up with. They learn from each other, keep each other company, burn off some of that endless kitten energy, and help teach each other appropriate play and social skills. Two kittens can actually make life easier for their humans too, because they have a built-in playmate instead of relying on you for all of their entertainment! This is something I truly believe, and have learned from experience (helllooooo Winnie).
And really, what’s better than one kitten? TWO kittens!!🥹

So if you’ve been thinking about adding a kitten to your family, this is your sign! 👀❤️
Adopt two and pay one adoption fee. 🐾

All that being said, there’s an important reason we’re pushing adoptions so hard right now.

Friends & Ferals will likely have to close for intakes of friendly cats and kittens in the next few weeks.

I don’t think we’ve EVER had this many kittens in care at one time. We have kittens who have been in foster care for over FIVE months without so much as an inquiry. What the heck.🥺💔

I absolutely love being able to help these babies, but also have to be realistic about our capacity. We cannot continue taking in more cats and kittens than we can responsibly care for, especially when the ones already in our care are still waiting for their families.

Our priority right now has to be getting these babies adopted. ❤️

So if you’ve been thinking about adopting, please consider giving one of our kittens, or even better- a pair, a place to call home. 🏡🐾

The Sewing Kittens 🧵

I would like to officially introduce Buttons, Bobbins and Bows.🫶🏼 If you have been following our stories, you will know that these cuties were trapped last Thursday at one of the colonies we’ve been working on in Tweed. There are other kittens there as well, but they are older and these three clearly needed medical attention ASAP.

We immediately started them on antibiotics and eye drops and as you can see from the updated photos, they are already looking so much better!🥹

All three of them initially hated me, especially Bobbins, (who ironically I love the most) but they have come so far in such a short time and have become total love bugs! Despite being on the mend❤️‍🩹, these cuties are full of beans and love to play and do all the crazy kitten things.
They won’t be ready for adoption for several weeks, but when they are, you would be crazy to pass them up. They are such wonderful kittens already and deserve a happy and healthy start to their new lives! 🏡❤️

🖤🐈‍⬛ BLACK CAT APPRECIATION DAY! 🐈‍⬛🖤

But today is ALSO officially MICAH APPRECIATION DAY because… well… I have some explaining to do….😂🙈

You guys remember Mia? One of our summer house girls? Well… funny story. 🫣

MIA IS ACTUALLY A MICHA. 😂😂😂

And I would just like to say… in over 405 cats, we have NEVER mis-sexed a cat this badly. Sure, we’ve had a few “oops, that’s actually a boy/girl” moments… but usually we catch it within a few DAYS.

BUT MONTHS?!

I AM EMBARRASSED. 🙈😂

And the best/worst part? Micah has had extra attention lately because he’s been “unwell”, so we’ve been handling him, checking on him, loving on him and talking about him constantly… all while calling this poor boy Mia. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I am absolutely floored by this new information and tbh I am STILL struggling to stop calling him Mia. My brain has apparently decided this is his name forever. 😂

So, to this handsome little black panther:

But what better day to make this confession than Black Cat Appreciation Day?! 🐈‍⬛🖤

Black cats are SO incredibly special. They are gorgeous, silly, affectionate, mysterious little house panthers who deserve just as much love and appreciation as any other cat. 🥹🖤 And yes, we may have accidentally called one of ours the wrong name for MONTHS… but that doesn’t mean we love him any less. 😝

We’ll be sharing more about Micah’s health journey in the next few days, because there’s a story there. So stay tuned for Part 2! 👀🖤

☕️The coffee kittens are ready for adoption!☕️

This adorable litter of tabbies are so ready for their next adventure! 🤎
Kona is spoken for, but Biscotti, Matcha and Latte are available and waiting to meet their humans!

Biscotti and Latte must be adopted either together, or into a home with another friendly, playful cat. Matcha could be adopted with or without another kitty in the home as she is quite brave and outgoing on her own.

All three of these gorgeous girls are so sweet and so cuddly. Their foster said they are the most affectionate kittens ever!🥰
