Don't let this smile fool you... It's bittersweet because I finally harvested this beautiful bundle of strawflower. Our draught is still ongoing here. Everything is crispy. Most of my new seedlings planted this year are dead. Most of my newer shrubs are dead... the heat is obnoxious, and even with minimal watering, it's been hard to keep things thriving here. So I will take this as a small victory. Amidst these challenges, there’s a lesson in resilience. Each flower harvested is a reminder that even in tough times, beauty can emerge. Let’s support one another through this drought—share your strategies for coping with these conditions and how you’re nurturing your garden against all odds. 🌱❤️

💐Update: I have had a lot of people reaching out about bouquets in the last few days, and here is where we are, July is a slow month for flowers, it's a transition period from spring to summer blooms.
It's also the slowest month in the wedding industry, so last year, I decided I would take July off as a time to spend with my family. I love to cater and sometimes go above and beyond my boundaries to be a good business person and make everyone happy,answering late night calls and messages, scrambling for last minute requests, but the truth is as I go along in the world of specialty cut flowers, I'm realizing what works;what doesn't and when to draw a line in the sand. I appreciate the support, but I need to make clear realistic decisions going forward. July will be for nurturing ourselves and the flowers for a boom of beautiful blooms in August. This obviously does not affect our subscriptions or our booked events. Thank you for understanding. See you in August✌️

I won't be slinging bouquets this weekend I am a little burnt out after grad week tbh.
I'll be doing some ground maintenance and spending some time decompressing and catching a breath and taking in the world around me.
Back at it next week 🩷✌️

🎓💐We have made it to Grad Week for our Kawartha Lakes Elementary Schools! 2 more days until summer break officially begins. I will be "out of office" tomorrow as I expedite flower pick-ups. If you were one of our pre-sale customers, thank you, and I will see you all tomorrow and Thursday,

Didn't make the pre-sale in time, I thought about you too! We will have some grab and go small mixed bunches available tomorrow by noon 🤞 and I may even make a few boutonnieres for the gents, just in case. No holds or DMs tomorrow. My apologies. I will be away from my phone as I prepare to celebrate my own graduate!🐺
