If you see your dog's Nictating Membrane, it's eyes are doing their protective job!
It's a Membrane that covers the eyeball, in order to keep debris out! Dogs have no control over it. It's their body's job to protect the eye, since most of their senses drive their noses towards the ground...

It's that season!
Where dogs need foot coverings to prevent salt burn.
Our customers with small dogs have the hardest time getting boots and balloons on tiny feet.
We recommend balloons as the best option, but fighting and fiddling to get them on teensy feet is frustrating at best!
Here's a SUPER EASY WAY! It doesn't require any fiddling and fumbling. Dogs find it stress-free, and it takes seconds. Follow the tutorial in the pictures!
Come into the shop, and we'll demonstrate it for you!
For medium sized and large feet, we have recommendations too! You probably have things you can use already in your kitchen cupboards to make it easy.

Let's talk DEWCLAWS!
Most dogs have front ones, but some dogs have rear ones too!
Revy has floating rear dewclaws. They never touch the ground.
The nails are thicker, and they curve around the pad. They literally encircle the pad as they grow.
Many dogs with rear dewclaws also have hairy feet, so they are harder to see.
It's really important that these nails are trimmed often. More often than the other nails.
Most local grooming salons offer walk-in nail trims.
It can be daunting to clip these nails yourself because they run along the skin of the pad.
However, untrimmed, they will quickly grow into the skin.
Ask your local groomer to put your dog on a nail trim schedule. Foot health is very important!
