Peek-a-boo! Who is looking at you? Why, it's our patient Rodney the White's tree frog! Rodney came to our clinic to see our Dr. Julia for a check-up and hoppily posed for a photo. But that wasn't a surprise at all given that Rodney is an Internet star and is used to having his photo taken. You can see more photos of Rodney and his siblings on their social media accounts, including right here on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575828629783

We want to add a little sunshine to your day with a photo of our appropriately named patient Sunny the golden conure. Sunny came to our clinic for an appointment with our Dr. Mel and our veterinary technician, Nikki, says that Sunny has a super sweet disposition. Nikki adds that while she was at our clinic, Sunny cuddled right up into her neck and refused to leave her shoulder!

"Oh hello! My name is Trixie. What's yours?" We had the pleasure of spending some extra time with our patient Trixie the chinchilla, whose mom happens to be our very own receptionist Marika. Trixie was boarding with us over the weekend and did very well. We enjoyed having you stay with us, Trixie, and we know that your mom is excited to be reunited with you again!

Before you know it, they're learning to drive. It certainly looks like our patient Tamago the hamster is driving himself to our clinic, doesn't it? He isn't, of course, but he did arrive at our clinic as a passenger in his little school bus. He came in for a check-up with our Dr. Nur, who says Tamago is very friendly and was eager to share a photo of himself in his carrier that is just too cool for school.

Today is for the birds. Why? Because it's National Pet Bird Day! Today we highlight how birds can be wonderful, loving companions and family members. But they do have unique care requirements and their noise levels vary among the different species, which can present a challenge for people living in apartments and condos, and for people who are sensitive to sound. If you are thinking about adopting a bird, please do your research beforehand on what the bird needs to be healthy and happy, and carefully consider whether having a bird is a good fit for your family and living situation. Happy National Pet Bird Day from all of us at the clinic!

Someone is ready for her close-up and that someone is our patient Mew the leopard gecko because she is eager to show off her unique eyes! These types of eyes are called Snake Eyes, which are a variation of the Eclipse morph. Selective breeding of captive leopard geckos has created many different colour and pattern varieties known as morphs.

"How's my hair? And make sure you get my good side!" Our patient Fifi the bunny came to our clinic for a routine check-up with our Dr. Julia, but he first made sure to pose for a photo. This comes as no surprise as Fifi's mom tells us that he loves photo shoots and is an expert at posing for the camera.
