✨ new adoptable - meet Prince Fluffs A Lot ✨

A hot new bombshell has entered the villa. His name? PRINCE FLUFFS A LOT.

A thick double coat that supports his signature fluffiness can only mean one thing, this princely scruff is a pomeranian. Poms are known for their affection with family, adaptability and of course, some coat maintenance. This is all true for PRINCE FLUFFS A LOT and what we’d really like to highlight is his adoration of his people. No loyalty testing required here!

If canine companionship is what you’re after, this scruff might be the one. He enjoys spending his time with adults and kids alike and easily extends his trust to them after a brief period of warming up. Sure, in the first 24 hours of being in the care of his foster fam he showed some nerves. Since then however, he’s opened up in a big way. Cuddling, playing, showing off his favourite toys… these are all activities that PRINCE FLUFFS A LOT genuinely enjoys.

This small bundle of fluff walks wonderfully on leash. While he’s curious about new things, he’s not into chasing after animals. What does turn his head slightly are chance encounters with other dogs. This scruff shows curiosity around them and will sniff them on walks.

Let’s crack on.

PRINCE FLUFFS A LOT settles after a few minutes in his crate, which he’s comfortable using while you’re out at school, work, intramurals etc. His foster family has been diligent in house training him though, yes, this scruff does occasionally have an accident here and there. Looks, accomplished training levels and more all aside, it’s his signature sploot that does it for us.

23 new arrivals in the coming weeks

Well 13 of them this Sunday! We are getting into a busy season as we see how many intakes we can support before we go on short break over the December holidays.

Right now we tend to try to bring as many puppies in from northern communities before the harsh winter starts very soon. We recently agreed to 1 puppy and ended up somehow saying yes to 7! One of them was a single pup found on the road and later another 4 appeared so we agreed to take all of them. The other 2 are single puppies. We will need fosters for those puppies in mid November.

We will share more about the 13 coming into care this weekend! We know you all love to see em. We also have another 9 dogs that are settling in and will be adoptable soon enough!

We appreciate our community continuing to support us. We can’t do this without you.

🐾 OCTOBER ADOPTIONS 🐾

October brought some very happy endings! We’re celebrating all of the pups who found their forever homes this month. ❤️

We are looking for volunteer photographers to join us on upcoming international spay & neuter clinic trips!

Our volunteers work alongside local rescue partners to support spay & neuter clinics, improve access to veterinary care, and make a lasting impact for animals and the communities that care for them. This is all part of our Project Prevention, where we are tackling overpopulation right at the source.

We’re looking for someone who can help capture the heart of this work, from the incredible people behind the clinics, the animals whose lives are being changed, and the dogs we meet along the way! These photos help us share our impact, celebrate our partners, and show our supporters what their generosity makes possible.

85 applications for domino — an update!

Woah. This guy was super popular. Domino received 85 adoption applications. He also met a ton of hopeful adopters at our adoption event.

We hate to do it but we do have to let a lot of you down. He now has an adoption pending and everyone has been replied to over email (check your junk mail).

✨ new intakes - welcome Mojito & Mudslide ✨

These pups are the second batch of puppies we welcomed into care on Sunday! Our weekend was full with 3 intakes bringing in 6 dogs.

8 years home for Bailey 😭

“We’re coming up on 8 years with Bailey, and she truly is our whole world (and she definitely knows it!). She’s just as fun-loving, cheeky and agile as the day we met her, has never met a treat she didn’t like, and continues to amaze us with how clever she is. Even after all these years, she’ll still bring us a toy when she wants to play, just like she did the very first time we met her. The cleverest, sweetest pup, and we feel so lucky that she chose us. ❤️”

JUST pulled from an Ontario shelter— meet Tucker 💞

Tucker made his way into care this weekend. He has been on/off living at a shelter since June. Tucker was found running loose in the GTA and no one ever came to claim him. Tucker had ear infections through treatment has shown to have particular skin allergies which may need long term support like baths, meds or a special diet.

Tucker is almost 7 years old, 56lbs and was labelled as a bull dog at the shelter. At the shelter and so far in care he was been sweet with people, excitable and curious about new things and described as a “sweet meatball” by his new foster family. Although, he’s still settling in and giving him time to do that will help us learn what his best home will look like.
