We donate to Kitty Kare/ Adopt a Mutt/ Paws for Love/ Northern Lights/ New Hope / Northern Spay and Neuter / Caring Hearts Recycle for Rescue was a concept started in the summer of 2014 when I took in a foster pup (Trooper) from a local dog rescue. This young northern pup was such an amazing pup, he did not let the cast nor the pain slow him down and actually thrived and miraculously kept his leg.
I wanted to do something more to help this young dog and others like him out there so I started collecting recycles and cashing them in. I started off just myself, then asking friends to donate then stepped out of my comfort zone and asked the public. We collected everything from beer bottles and pop cans to wet car batteries, old bikes,patio tables, tire rims, garage doors.... basically anything metal. When the end of the year came and we counted up all the nickels and dimes we had good sum of money, in fact so much so that it inspired me to start a permanent site. Although things have changed through the past few years ... no longer picking up scrap metal...we still collect pop cans and beer and liquor empties... our mission is the same.... collect and return items and donate the money to various rescues in the area.
