Milos’ continuing story….
We originally rescued Milos from McKellar Street where he apparently was left behind when his owners moved out. A kind lady was feeding him for 8 years… yes 8!!! She contacted us when Milos showed up one day with a bad wound on his neck.
We trapped him, had him treated, vaccinated, fixed and ear tipped. The lady offered to take him to her parent’s out on Dawson Road to live. 💗
Milos got out one day and was lost. We looked everywhere for him, put posters up and although we had reported sightings… we were unable to find him which makes sense because he was eventually able to make his way back to the south side of the city. About 6 months later or so, he showed up again on McKellar Street but again we were unable to locate him.
For 3 years I have looked for him - then received a message he had been seen several times on Norah Street. Sure enough I spoke to the home owner there where he had been seen. She has been looking after him since he showed up about 2 years ago!!!
Last night I received a message from another lady who said Milos was being looked after by her mother on River Road as a stray. It had been some time since she has seen him. She sent me pics and sure enough… it’s Milos!!!
So Milo’s journey started on McKellar Street, out to Dawson Road where he made an almost 10 mile trek to get back to his neighbourhood. He has now been taken in on Norah Street!!! The lady on Norah was feeding him and eventually coaxed him to come inside when the weather got cold. She is going to foster him which is great news because Milos is much happier in his neighbourhood and will obviously do anything to get back to it. We will get him vet care and dental work and pray he lives a wonderful retirement life for this 12?? or more year old boy!!! We are guessing at his age based on how long he had been living on the streets.
What an incredible story!!!
Here’s pics I was sent of his time on River Road… during his journey back to his neighbourhood!!!
We love you so so much Milos! 💗💗💗
