Tadpole had his 2nd dental surgery to remove his remaining teeth. Dr. Panontin had to leave one back tooth and just file it as extraction may have broken his jaw - the tooth’s root had grown into the jaw. He’s in pain but will feel so much better in a few days. We even got a souvenir.

I stand corrected!!!! The pics of Milos in the cat shelter are from River Road - not Red River Road 🤦‍♀️. I’m so sorry - now it really makes sense. River Road is off Cameron - all in Milos’ hood. I misread the message I received - I’ll blame it on my 65 year old eyes lol.
I was also sent this pic of one of the gorgeous cats Milos fathered before we took away his manhood!

Thank you Sherry Hogan, Jennifer Thomson and Sam K. for donating towards Milos’ vet care.
Please know that if, for health reasons, our vet cannot proceed with the surgery… we will return your donation. Dr. Panontin said the only reason she might not be able to proceed would be if it is found that he has a severe heart murmur for example. She is not expecting that but Milos is a senior cat. Otherwise Milos will have a complete dental to help him have a better life. Thank you again. 💗

Milos’ continuing story….
We originally rescued Milos from McKellar Street where he apparently was left behind when his owners moved out. A kind lady was feeding him for 8 years… yes 8!!! She contacted us when Milos showed up one day with a bad wound on his neck.
We trapped him, had him treated, vaccinated, fixed and ear tipped. The lady offered to take him to her parent’s out on Dawson Road to live. 💗
Milos got out one day and was lost. We looked everywhere for him, put posters up and although we had reported sightings… we were unable to find him which makes sense because he was eventually able to make his way back to the south side of the city. About 6 months later or so, he showed up again on McKellar Street but again we were unable to locate him.
For 3 years I have looked for him - then received a message he had been seen several times on Norah Street. Sure enough I spoke to the home owner there where he had been seen. She has been looking after him since he showed up about 2 years ago!!!
Last night I received a message from another lady who said Milos was being looked after by her mother on River Road as a stray. It had been some time since she has seen him. She sent me pics and sure enough… it’s Milos!!!
So Milo’s journey started on McKellar Street, out to Dawson Road where he made an almost 10 mile trek to get back to his neighbourhood. He has now been taken in on Norah Street!!! The lady on Norah was feeding him and eventually coaxed him to come inside when the weather got cold. She is going to foster him which is great news because Milos is much happier in his neighbourhood and will obviously do anything to get back to it. We will get him vet care and dental work and pray he lives a wonderful retirement life for this 12?? or more year old boy!!! We are guessing at his age based on how long he had been living on the streets.
What an incredible story!!!
Here’s pics I was sent of his time on River Road… during his journey back to his neighbourhood!!!
We love you so so much Milos! 💗💗💗

We found Milos!!! 💗💗💗
He has been living in the area a few blocks from where we trapped him originally 3 years ago. We can’t believe it!!!
Milos will have a foster home but desperately needs dental work - his breath is atrocious. 😭 Three years ago before he went missing we noticed his teeth grinding when he was trying to eat. It’s of course even worse now. 💔
I work lots to help pay for the veterinary needs of our rescues but it is a drop in a huge bucket. We have been averaging a dental every month. Milos is an old cat and has been through so much. He deserves to live the remainder of his life pain free.
We booked his dental for December 5th. Please, if anyone can help, we would appreciate it so much. We have a rescue account under Desi's Heart Rescue at Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital 807-623-3531.
Please help us help Milos. 🙏
