It’s been a while since I’ve shed a tear over a loss of a good horse. Something you don’t brag about out loud as the universe is quick to humble. Last night was our turn for some humbling.
In a newly built pen, with not even a stick or stone to trip on, Tic somehow managed to break his neck. Our best guess is he ran head into the fence. With some cruel luck he somehow wasn’t instantly paralyzed, even with multiple breaks around his spinal cord.
He was an outstanding c**t that made our little breeding program proud and I’m sad we don’t get to see him grow up to be the outstanding stud he was destined to be.
He left the world in the same stall he took his first steps in
