Member in good standing CKC, and German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada. Very early on in my life, the intelligence, loyalty and love of a German Shepherd left a strong imprint on me; it was a destiny for my heart to follow. My Uncle, a Sergeant with the Metropolitan Toronto Police had a retired, beautiful female Shepherd, by the name of Cindy. Cindy didn't take well to strangers, and hadn't been arou
nd many children. Except Cindy and I bonded, and became very close. We had a close connection that began my love for German Shepherds'. Once I was able to provide the proper environment and time needed for a German Shepherd, I purchased my first girl, "Rambo". Rambo was the perfect family mate for our oldest son, then later on for our next son. I was fascinated at how smart the breed was, how faithful and loyal, how majestic, protective and loving all at the same time. I absorbed as much information as I could from some great mentors. I started a kennel and began performance and conformation work with my Shepherds. Ginny Neher was my first obedience teacher, which led me to my first obedience title on one of my Sable German Shepherds, "Ambush". Next was tracking, such a rewarding activity, for "Deva" That girl had a fabulous nose and loved to go to work. My dogs were sought after by some of the local canine units with different police forces where they were put to work doing what they do best! I also raised and trained some stunning conformation dogs that showed well and earned their Canadian and American Kennel Club Championship's. After an accident in late 90's, a change of life direction put my passion on hold for several years. One of the last line's of my kennel passed away in January of 2023. Little did we know at that time that "Diesel's" passing over the rainbow bridge opened up a gate to that passion again. Diesel travelled everywhere with us, my husband Shawn and I. Working all over Canada he made many friends in his lifetime. Shawn and I have began our new kennel, under the name "Arisingstar" We have a country property in the valley, with lots of room for our new brood to play and learn. It started with "Ace" - a stunning Black Czechoslovakian German Shepherd. He is a perfect working line Shepherd that we have in obedience and trick dog training, and soon to be draft dog training. Luckystryke's Deja Vu - "Deja" is our foundation bitch with a superior pedigree. She is beautifully put together, working towards her Canadian Championship in the show ring. Deja's litter was nominated for the German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada Futurity, which is her next show. Sire: GCH Lacomtesse Vampire Slayer, (Blade)
Dam: CH Mystksand Eleganza Extravaganza Luckystryke (Ella)
Luckystrykes Over the Mooin at Arisingstar - "Mooin" is a lovely male black and tan who also has a stunning pedigree. Mooin is being shown in the conformation ring to start his career, but not limited to that. Mooin has the "moves" and we can't wait to see what his future brings! Sire: Mystksand Sashay Away (RuPaul)
Dam: GCH Peakes Brook Head Over Heels for Luckystryke
The possibilities are endless with so many options for what this intelligent breed can do. The more you give them to learn, the more they want to learn and please you!
