Hey everyone! ☀️ I hope you’re all enjoying this beautiful warm weather—we definitely are!

I wanted to share a little update so everyone knows what to expect moving forward. I’ve been a bit quieter on social media lately as I’ve been focusing on my health, my family, and of course, my own pups 🐾

I’m currently dealing with pretty severe carpal tunnel and working closely with my doctor to figure out the best plan. I’ll know more by the end of May, but surgery is likely. Because of this, I’ve been advised to significantly reduce my working hours.

For the rest of this year, things will stay mostly the same as I’m already quite booked. However, starting in January, my schedule will be changing to shorter days (8am–1pm).

This means I’ll need to be more selective with appointments moving forward. Dogs on a consistent grooming schedule will continue to be prioritized, while larger, high-maintenance breeds that come only a few times a year may be more difficult for me to accommodate long-term.

I truly appreciate all of your understanding and support—it means more than you know 💛

Hello Wizard of Paws family!

We’ve been a little quiet on Facebook lately as we’ve been focusing on health, family time, and welcoming a special new addition to our furry crew.
Thank you for your patience while we took a short step offline to prioritize what matters most.

Meet Goose — our 4-month-old Australian Shepherd! We brought him home in early December after deciding it was time to add another pup to our pack. Since then, life has been wonderfully busy between work and all things puppy.

Goose has been keeping us on our toes with puppy classes, socialization outings, handling classes, tracking lessons, and we’re excited to begin rally classes next month. We’ve been working hard on exposure and confidence-building, and are currently looking for opportunities in the Shuswap area that offer outdoor classes or group sessions focused on distractions and neutrality around other dogs.
We do practice in local stores, but we’d love to find structured group environments to continue building those skills.
If you have any recommendations, we’d truly appreciate them!

At home, Piper and Huck have welcomed Goose beautifully. They play so well together, and it’s been such a joy watching our pack grow.

🌟 Big changes and happy tails at Wizard of Paws!🌟

The Wizard of Paws family is growing, and I’m thrilled to share what’s coming in the new year! 🐾 I’ll be dedicating more time to enriching the lives of my own dogs, focusing on my health and family goals, and welcoming a new furry friend into our home soon! 🐶💛

To make this all happen, I’ll be shifting to early hours, ending the day at 3 PM—so I can bring my best energy to work, home, and our growing furry family.

Thank you to our wonderful community for your continued trust and support. You inspire me every day to do what I love, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with all of you! 🐾💛

🌟 Feeling Grateful and Humbled 🌟

I was honestly shocked — and deeply flattered — to see Wizard of Paws nominated for the Gold Award! The outpouring of love and support from our community has truly touched my heart.

Moving to a small community, I’ll never forget how intimidating it felt when I first moved here and wanted to continue my business as a groomer. There were already so many wonderful, well-established businesses, and I wasn’t sure how I’d fit in. But gaining the trust and encouragement of this community gave me the support and drive I needed — and it continues to inspire me every single day to be my best.

You always try your best in life and in business, but to actually see that reflected back through something like this nomination is incredibly humbling. I truly get so much out of this community, and I absolutely love putting it back in.

Thank you all for your continued trust, kindness, and encouragement. It means more than words can express. I look forward to continuing to serve you the best way I know how — with love, compassion, and care. 💜🐾

📢 Booking Update from Wizard of Paws 🐾

I am currently fully booked through to the end of December. If a cancellation opens up, clients on the waitlist will be contacted in the order they were added.

We also want to let clients know that bookings for 2026 will open in October. I am waiting a surgery date in the new year and won’t be able to confirm grooming appointments until that timeline is set. I truly appreciate your understanding and patience.

Booking Update at Wizard of Paws!

We’re currently booking into mid- Sept, so be sure to schedule multiple appointments in advance to keep your pup looking and feeling their best!

A quick reminder:
We are closed on Sundays and Mondays. These days are important for rest and recharge. Spending time with loved ones and my own furry family is so important to me.
One thing my dogs LOVE is their sports, which takes place on these days.
As we prepare for more trailing, my days off will be spent focusing on classes and training with them so they get the most out of life!

I truly appreciate each and every one of my amazing clients. Your support means the world! That said, maintaining a healthy work-life balance helps me continue to provide the best care possible for your furry family members.

Thanks for understanding — and just a reminder that I'm currently not taking new pups, I will post once I am.
