Bronwyn update: Unfortunately after xrays it was determined that cancer has spread into Bronwyn's lungs and the odds are stacked against her surviving surgery, even then, if she were to survive she is on the downhill slope with cancer. Despite being an eating machine, she has continued to lose weight, and her health would have continued to deteriorate as the cancer progressed. Unfortunately in rescue, some days are really difficult days. In the end, we must do what is in the best interest of those in care. No suffering ❤

A huge thank you to everyone who stepped up to help Bronwyn in the last couple of weeks, it was greatly appreciated.

Its Bronwyns surgery day today, please keep her in your thoughts. We are a little late getting auction items photographed and ready to auction but we will be doing that today and running the auction over the weekend.

Updates will be provided as the day goes on.

With the help of some amazing people we have managed to raise $550 of the approximately $920 required for the removal of Bronwyns tumor. There are a couple more auction items that we need to pick up before we start the auction next week. Donations of items are always very appreciated - this surgery would not be possible without your kindness and generosity.

We need your help, Bronwyn has developed a large tumor on her abdomen that requires surgery to remove. Her surgery has been scheduled for December 3 and will cost approximately $920. We have been considering different options to help raise funds so she can have this surgery. As everyone knows, the last couple of years have been difficult for all animal groups that rely on fundraising for day to day expenses of animals in care as well as medical expenses.

In the past, fundraising auctions have helped tremendously with the costs of medical care for the rabbits. Are there any individuals or businesses who would be willing to donate an item that would go towards Bronwyns surgery? If so, please message us or post below so we can make arrangements.

Your support is appreciated.

We are looking for a few short term foster homes from approximately September 12 to October 9th. Everything you need for a foster rabbit will be provided, indoor spaces only. The rabbits in care do use xpens rather than cages, they are not used to children and prefer to be independent for the most part. They do not love being picked up and handled but love if you sit with them for a petting now and then. If you have the space for a temporary foster please let us know along with your experience with rabbits, if any. Thanks everyone!

Is anyone headed to the lower mainland or as far as Williams Lake in the next couple of days? We have a rabbit requiring specialized care that needs to be transferred down to SARS as soon as possible.

Fraser has had a hard time with overgrown teeth the last few months and his lipoma has returned as well. Even after his latest dental surgery, he is struggling to eat.

Pictured is Fraser, the rabbit requiring transport.

Giving a huge shout out today to Triple O's for the donation of an entire case of Romaine lettuce for the buns in care and also to Marilyn for donations of Kale, Mint and lettuce from her garden! The buns LOVE fresh veggies!

These donations are greatly appreciated. Recently our vet bills have skyrocketed with 4 dental surgeries, 2 deaths, and and other sick bunny issues.

The bunnies send love to their friends with greens ❤

Does anyone have space for an emergency foster rabbit or two? Indoor space needed. We can provide an xpen, food, hay, dishes etc. Please send us a message if you may be able to. There are quite a few needing placement and we are very very limited on space.

Photo for attention, not of the actual rabbits, but one of the rabbits in care for medical issues (Serenity) ❤

We just wanted to do a quick update as we continue to receive emails and messages regarding surrenders. Due to space limitations we are still not able to accept any surrenders. We will advise when and if this changes.

We hope that everyone had an amazing thanksgiving!

Can anyone name this bunny?
