I’m relocating back to Ontario around April–May, and my 7x14 ft enclosed grooming trailer is staying here in B.C. This trailer was specifically designed for grooming on Vancouver Island.
Asking: 20 000$ obo
Trailer Features:
• 7x14 ft enclosed trailer
• Single axle – easy to tow
• 20-gallon fresh water tank
• 20-gallon grey water holding tank
• 4-gallon hot water tank
• 4-ft stainless steel grooming tub
• Dual power: 110V electrical + 12V RV pump system
• One-piece seamless waterproof flooring
• k9-II dryer
• Shopvac
• No a/c but wired for one
• Some various grooming supplies
Why this is a great opportunity:
• Designed for mobile or home-based grooming
• No commercial lease, no long-term commitments
• Easier setup than building a grooming shed (no permits, zoning delays, or construction costs)
• Can be operated directly from your property
• Low overhead = higher profit
About becoming a groomer:
In B.C., you do not need formal certification to operate as a pet groomer. While many people choose to take online or in-person grooming courses, the only requirement to legally operate is a business licence from your local municipality. I also strongly recommend carrying professional liability insurance, as with any service-based business. It’s affordable and provides important peace of mind.
Why this trailer matters:
I built The Furrari so I could follow my husband to Vancouver Island and remain financially independent. After 15 years in the grooming industry, I can honestly say this trailer gave me more freedom, stability, and balance than any front store salon ever did. It allowed me to work from home or anywhere on my own terms. It paid for itself in just over a year.
A rare opportunity:
I will not be keeping my clients, and there is strong demand in this area. The clientele here has been the best I’ve worked with.. kind, loyal, and mostly requesting easy maintenance grooming, making this an ideal setup for someone starting out or wanting a calmer workflow.
While I’m not offering grooming training, I am willing to share my previous business plan to help with financing or presenting to a bank.
I’m truly hoping this trailer goes to someone young at heart, with compassion, a calm demeanor, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to continuous learning...someone who prioritizes the safety, comfort, and well-being of every dog above all else.
My clients here have meant the world to me. Many have treated me like family...showering me with kindness, holiday gifts, and so much love, including during the arrival of my second baby. I would love for them to be cared for by someone who respects that trust and continues the same thoughtful, gentle approach.
More than anything, I hope The Furrari can leave a small legacy behind, giving someone else the independence and freedom it once gave me, and allowing them to continue making the world a little more beautiful, one pet at a time ❤️
