Meet Willow! ⬇️

Willow is a 1.5 year old Pitbull/Husky/American Bulldog X. She is here for a 3week Board & Train and has begun to settle in nicely. She already has a great foundation of training and is conditioned to a prong & ecollar. We will be focusing on refining her skills, communication & expanding understanding of the Ecollar, impulse control & problem solving, neutrality & reactivity.

August & September Schedule is live! 💥

Calm Canine Group classes are open to everyone, regardless of where you are at in your training. These classes are designed for dogs to work on their neutrality and owners to put their training to test in the controlled “real-life” scenarios. Created with reactive dogs in mind, there are NO dog to dog interactions and every drill/class is adaptable for YOUR needs!

Reminder: These are supportive classes lead by a trainer (hi! 👋) where you can ask questions, gain tips and meet new friends in likeminded owners!

Say hello to Louis!

This boy is 7 months old and was a show dog before he came to his family. He displays some reactivity to dogs and vehicles (although was on his very best behaviour during his consult), struggles to settle inside & is extremely hyper vigilant.

we’ve had one session together so far where Louis proved to be a very smart & quick learner. We discussed adding some structure into his home environment, building his handler relevancy, engagement & impulse control.

Meet Lilly!

Lilly is a 7 month old Husky mix who recently had her second session with me. Lily was struggling with what can be typical puppy behaviors but were very excessive displays as well as leash pulling/reactivity. We have worked on layering a foundation, creating strong handler relevancy as well as a calmer mindset in the home. we have already seen so much improvement in this smart gal!

We will take you through a short neutrality walk lead by two trainers (👋👋) and guided drills. Focusing on engagement, neutrality & giving you and your dog a chance to train in real world scenarios with like-minded owners!

Say hello to Betty!

Betty is an almost 1 year old shepherd husky mix. Mom reached out to me as walks had become increasingly difficult & unenjoyable between her leash pulling & dog reactivity. Betty is a very excitable, overstimulated girl and while she is very sweet some of her behaviours could put her or mom in unwanted or potentially dangerous situations.

Betty & Mom have had two sessions and have already seen tons of improvement. We have conditioned a prong collar & started building connection/slowing things down through leash drills. We will be conditioning the Ecollar to eventually work towards off-leash freedom, another goal for this girl!

Excited to see how this girl progresses!

The last Patio Workshop we will be holding! But stay tuned as we may introduce some one off classes to practice these skills!

Calm Canine Park & Patio is a 3-week workshop designed to learn how to help your dog settle in busy environments, improve leash manners, and build confidence around distractions. Each class will add onto the skills learned in the last & will simulate a patio setting.

We’ll work on impulse control, neutrality, and public etiquette so you can take your dog more places stress-free. One dog per human for each team! This ensures the safety and attention of the group.
