The Lucky Project

We are a non-profit organization hoping to further address the needs of Pembroke's Feral Cat Populations. Cats have been specifically domesticated by humans for companionship and it is our belief that no cat is meant to be abused, abandoned and made to become feral and left to fend for its own survival. The Lucky Project began in the fall of 2013 when a few animal loving citizens got together hel

ping one another catch, vet and home various feral and stray cats in Pembroke. This effort saw many people working together and over 30 cats were caught and homed. Our aim is to gain enough community support to be able to vet, spay, neuter, release the healthy cats back to their colony and continue feeding and maintaining their shelters. By doing this we will prevent mass euthanasia, control the feral cat population and allow them a dignified and humane life. These animals don't have a voice and it is our responsibility to be that voice.
