I would like to thank Gordon and Stewart as well as the rest of the members of the Oakville kennel club for making me feel so welcome this past weekend. The venue was beautiful, and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. It’s nice when a club cares about their exhibitors, and vendors, not just their check book. It makes the long hours and hard work all seem worthwhile. I would also like to thank (and recommend) Parsons Welding for Welding my trailer hitch back together and doing an awesome job.

Since we have bred wires for 25 years I’m going to answer everyone’s questions at the same time. I have no problem with the Wire Fix Terrier for BIS at Westminster. If you look at the dogs Pedigree ( and picture with the pedigree) you will see that most of the prominent kennels used him. In other words, he had more to offer the breed than any other dog in the ring. Isn’t that what dog shows are supposed to be about? I don’t believe they were intended as a popularity contest. When you are not able to put your hands on a dog you are merely speculating. I really liked the dachshund, like most of as well. Peter gave us our start in Wires through France Bergeron years ago. He is in a better position to judge them than any of us. Light a candle ... don’t curse the darkness. Here is a link to the pedigree.Share the knowledge .

Something new from Northern Heritage. Hand worked, braided end leather leads. Inspired by Irish leatherworkers, assembled with old fashion tools in the tradition of years gone by. Made with 8/9 oz ( the thickest you can hand braid) Latigo leather ( the softest leather) sourced in Canada and finished with vegetable dye to prevent cracking. More sizes, lengths and colours coming soon. Custom length available.

Well some good news here… Our new website is up and running as of today. You will find many options for shipping that are both more convenient and less expensive. Virtually all of our products are online now. A better payment processing system will be implemented in the next few weeks
