Our next Saturday theory day will be March 22 at 1:30pm. This weeks topic will be going over the Equine Canada rule book for competitions in the hunter/jumper rings. The more informed you are of the rules, the more competitive you can be!

Our first Theory/Horsemanship day will run on FEB 15th at 1:30pm. Our first topic will be bandaging for various situations. There will be a theory base with worksheets as well as a hands on experience learning how to correctly bandage a horse. All of our topics will be included in the Equine Canada rider levels for testing.

Equine Theory and unmounted Horsemanship Leasons will now be offered on Select Saturdays by an Equestrian Canada Coach. This will be great for anyone wanting to work on their EC rider levels, English or western, but will also for anyone looking to gain general equine knowledge. Topic examples include:
-parts/bones of horse
- what to do in emergency situations
- proper wrapping and leg care for exercise, injury and injury prevention
- horse show prep and expectations.
-equine drugs and their uses

We are so excited to announce Sara Hudgins as one of our new instructors here at DC Training. Sara comes with lots of experience in the equestrian world, being the current rider and trainer for KVS Sport horses. Her qualifications also include:
-Diploma in Equine Science majoring in Coaching
-Diploma in Educational Assistant
-Equine Canada Instructor of Beginner with jump component
- 6 years experience running lesson programs and summer camps

We are selling our horse trailer!
2004 4 horse trails west sierra. Front tack and front dressing room. This trailer has been taken care of since day one. Always cleaned out after use. Has feed mangers, drop down windows, stud stall with escape door. Front tack room with 4 saddle racks, lots of bridle hooks and a portable water tank system. Also has 2 large cubby’s under feed mangers. This trailer has been great for us. All exterior and interior lights work, it’s ready to hit the road with no issues! Located just south of Lethbridge AB

Ginny
Ginny is a 10 year old 12.1HH pony. (Not USEF carded but yes she is still a small!) Ginny is still green eligible as she has only shown at small local shows.
Ginny is a loveable girl in the barn and under saddle with no vices.
Ginny is currently being used in our lesson program and receives training rides to further her education for the show ring. We are just starting her on her changes. She would make a great pony for a kid or keep developing her for resale!

Paramount July 2024 was filled with so many firsts and goals reached!
Laycee and Zara jumped like never before this weekend, from having no ride-ability in the past to being able to now communicate as a team on course! Her jump and track improves every time!
Megan and her new mount Liv moved into the grass AND up to the .80s for the very first time! And killed it!
Maria had 4 beautiful rounds with Cobra in the sand
And I happened to pop back into the ring myself for the first time after having a baby with a homebred gelding who showed his fabulous brain with very limited time under saddle.
We couldn’t be happier with our weekend!

We have opened up some lesson packages for the winter with weekday and weekend availability! No previous experience needed!

- Now offering an introduction to horseback riding lessons, ages 3-6 years old for $160 a month. (1 lesson a week) This includes learning how to care for your pony on the ground and while riding. This package includes 30 mins of horse time.

- Now offering a riding package for ages 6+. This package can be used for riders of all experience that require the use of a lesson horse/pony for $280. (1 lesson a week) this package includes 50mins of horse time!

(Depending on the month, these packages include 4-5 lessons)
