Meet Murphy!!! At 10 years young, she has learned the art of living. She is independent, and does not need constant attention, but always appreciates a gentle pet. She is friendly, always ready to greet you with a soft purr. As well as mellow, and content with just being in your presence. She has spent her days observing the world, and gaining wisdom only a senior cat can possess. She believes in simple pleasures, like a sunny spot on the floor or a cozy corner to nap in. Adopt Murphy and enjoy simple, peaceful moments together.

In addition to going home with your amazing new family member, all adopted animals are microchipped, spayed/neutered, have received flea and worm treatment and are up-to-date on vaccinations (for kittens and puppies, their first vaccination). Adoption Folder with your pet’s records and important adoption information. Adoption Kit from Royal Canin, including coupons and a sample bag of food. And post adoption support from the Ontario SPCA team!!

Please note; to claim an animal, you must provide:
1) valid photo ID
2) proof of ownership such as photos, identifying details, microchip information or vet records
3) a carrier, collar or leash for transport home
4) payment of impound. License and/or record

When you’re excited about a holiday like Easter, it can be easy to overlook potential dangers for our furry friends. This is why the ASPCA’s Animal Poison Control Centre (APCC) put together this list of potential hazards so you can be prepared!

Meet Felicia, a feline resident of our Animal Centre. Her personality is a delicate blend of shyness and gentleness. She's a quiet observer, preferring to watch the world from a cozy corner rather than being the center of attention. Yet, her gentle nature shines through in her interactions. Felicia may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she'll reward you with the softest purrs and the most tender nuzzles. The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society strives to provide care, comfort and compassion to all animals in need in our communities across Ontario. In support of these efforts, the Ontario SPCA has launched AnimalSmart™. These presentations are intended to foster empathy and promote a sense of responsibility within the community, inspiring a connection with animals.
AnimalSmart™ presentations take a student-centred approach, aiming to foster meaningful conversations about animals through discussions, videos and activities with curriculum connections!
The AnimalSmart™ presentations are offered free of charge to schools and community groups for grades 1-8 aged students.

Do you love animals? Enjoy connecting with your community? Want to make a real impact while having fun? If so, this is your chance to get involved!
The Ontario SPCA’s Community Outreach Department is looking for enthusiastic and flexible volunteers to help keep people and pets together. No two days are the same – one day, you could be helping distribute pet food to the animals that need it most, and the next, you might be assisting at a spay/neuter event, transporting animals on their journey to find a new home or lending a hand at exciting community events!
