The Lennox and Addington area is a great place to visit over the summer, and if you're travelling with your furry friend make sure you are prepared by knowing where you can and cannot take them, as leaving them in the car is NOT an option!

To help you out, we have started to compile some local places in Napanee that are pet friendly - with more to come!

The sweet boy was found at Spring Side Park, Napanee. He is under 1 year we believe. He has no microchip or other form of identification.

As temperatures rise, so does the risk for animals left in hot vehicles or outside without proper care. This summer, the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is calling on all animal lovers to help protect our furry friends by taking the No Hot Pets pledge.

Pets can quickly overheat in parked vehicles—even on mild days and even with the windows cracked. Animals left outside without proper shade or fresh water are also at serious risk. There is no excuse for leaving pets in dangerous conditions.

The young puppy with the big heart has had a long journey to adoption, and he’s ready to find his happily ever after!
Fetching, tail chasing, and making friends are just a few of the things Sydney loves, but he approaches most of life with a tail wag and a bounce in his step. Sydney could not be any friendlier and is happy to greet you with kisses and cuddles. He’s ready to find his forever family to share all the joy and fun that life has to offer, could that be you? 💙 🐾

Our sweet Sydney is still waiting for a family to scoop him up! Here’s some of our favourite personality traits of his:
-He loves to carry a toy around with him! Absolutely cannot do any activity without one of his stuffies!
-He’s a quiet boy! We think his left his bark at the park.
-He doesn’t believe in strangers, only new friends!
-His favourite part of the day is when our volunteers come by for a play or walk!
