A long-term client of mine, Chantelle, commissioned me to photograph her horse, Lacey, so she could paint a portrait for her daughter who loves this sweet mare.
I am honored to be part of this artistic process and to witness Chantelle's talent in transferring equine beauty from one medium to another.

HOW PREY ANIMALS GREET THEIR HERD MEMBERS AFTER SEPARATION

This past week I got flattened by a cold and didn't leave the bed for four days. This was Shasta's reaction when I finaly came out to see the herd last night. In her horsey way, she appreciated the fact that I was not eaten by a predator and made a safe return "home."

Dusting off our moves after a long break when Lady Jane was away. She's an incredibly well trained mare and a sensitive, responsive personality. This was our first time in the ring since summer 2023, so this short dance was all I asked of her before letting her off the leadrope to run freely and express her feelings at liberty.
