Created in 2002 by IFAW, this day celebrates cats, raises awareness, and reminds us to protect our purrfect companions. So… demand extra treats, soak up the cuddles, and maybe order that special tasty menu. A present wouldn’t hurt either.

Today, I groomed a pup who was struggling in the heat under a heavy, overgrown coat. With temperatures rising, long hair can quickly become a serious discomfort—and even a health risk—for many dogs.

Grooming for Senior Pets

This week, I had the privilege of grooming a senior pet, a Morkie, who needed a little extra care and patience. When it comes to our older furry companions, grooming isn't about perfection—it's about comfort, safety, and dignity.

Senior pets may have arthritis, sensitive skin, limited mobility, or other health concerns that make traditional grooming styles unrealistic or even unsafe. That’s why we focus on comfort grooms—gentle, low-stress sessions tailored to what the animal can handle.

The end result might not be picture-perfect, but that’s not the point. What matters is that they leave feeling lighter, cleaner, and more comfortable.
